Re: WHL South from DTG and Milepost Simulations
Hi
To me the main problem with the route is it's 80 odd miles of single track, with just passing places at stations, and I think the max speed for route is about 50mph,but a lot lower in places,so it could be a slow and boring run.
I will probably wait until Christmas to get it,my partner can buy it for as a present,
Re W&T I like the route as it has a good mix of double and single track, also I no problem with the class 25,after all it's better than nothing,it would be nice to have a blue version as well.

I think one of the issues is with the tools for placing masses of trees .. They do seem to end up giving this rather dated block look with little variation if not used with a bit of flare and art

Well, I've put my money where I said. Whether this is a total success of a retro era route or not I feel that in order to encourage more of the same it has to be purchased, at it certainly offers much screenshot and railtour potential in my eyes too.
Won't get to a until later but I shall report back as soon as I can tonight.

It looks a bit "sterile" ,very little seen in the fields, also the semaphore signals look a bit too tall and sort of "spindly".

As you say you haven't bought it I wonder how you know all that? Maybe you'll here the sirens wailing in a minute.bigmull wrote:It looks a bit "sterile" ,very little seen in the fields, also the semaphore signals look a bit too tall and sort of "spindly".
Outside our little computerised world, reality may show otherwise. The signal posts are accurate representations of lattice-post signals, realistically tall. You've been playing too many routes with dumpy and over-thick lattice posts as created by Kuju Entertainment all those years ago. You should get out more.

Would of been an instant purchase had it gone to Queen Street as it doesn't it's not even a sale purchase for me.

You can can kind of understand why it doesn't run into Queen Street though. Think of the work involved with placing the OHLE along the North Clyde Line and scenery once in Glasgow.37114 wrote:Would of been an instant purchase had it gone to Queen Street as it doesn't it's not even a sale purchase for me.

Yeh, be fair. It's 100 miles long as it is. To Glasgow would be huge.malkymackay wrote:You can can kind of understand why it doesn't run into Queen Street though.
