I think for true continuity it would have been good to have had RETB signalling like the Mallaig and Kyle lines, but this does look absolutely amazing! Would love to see the Far North Line and Inverness to Perth lines one day modelled in train sim too.

Hi
I personally prefer the pre RETB era for me trying get RETB to work is just one complication to many.

Don't quote me, but I heard someone saying last night on Matt Peddlesden's stream that tonight's advanced preview on twitch is this route.
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it

If this doesn't happen, you could be in deep trouble Phil!pjt1974 wrote:Don't quote me, but I heard someone saying last night on Matt Peddlesden's stream that tonight's advanced preview on twitch is this route.

I need to add a disclaimer in my signature, it could get me out of a lot of trouble

Re: WHL South from DTG and Milepost Simulations
If anyone's interested, I'll be replanning the North Clyde Line work so that the Dalmuir-Dumbarton-Helensburgh section is done next after the current Phase is completed. (the Queen St-Dalmuir section will be complete at the end of the current phase, Phase 3). Originally this would have been done towards the end of next year but I think with the WHL/S on the horizon it makes sense to do it sooner.
There's no RETB south of Helensburgh Upper, so there's no real discrepancy from the fact that my route is modern day (well, 2013), other than the style of the nameboards on the platforms.
Looks like I'm still needing to make some kind of effort at an Erskine Bridge model though!!

Re: WHL South from DTG and Milepost Simulations
Sorry Milepost, I know its a WIP but at the moment I found the route to be very drab looking after watching the Switch recording. I know its bleak up that way but the lots of times i've been up that way it certainly didn't lack in colour, just felt route needed some brightening up with a few more reds, yellows, blues, flower boxes at stations etc.
Nobody is expecting it to look like the scenery pics below but in my personal opinion I think the route just looked in need of a tad more TLC and colour.

Since it is not a Thomson product, I'm happy that this will be able to support the AP 37 and Mk1 soundpacks. I'm also interested if the RETB will be compatible with the WHLE and Kyle Line 37s.

Re: WHL South from DTG and Milepost Simulations
To be honest. I didn't notice the RETB on the Stream and I think the route is set before RETB was introduced, all the signals look semaphore.
The issue I have with lines like the WHL Extension, Kyle and this WHL south is they are what I call 'romantic routes'. We all say how great it would be to see them in the sim but, if we are honest, how many of us have loaded up either WHL Extension or Kyle more than 10 or 15 times since buying? I'm still to complete Kyle end to end.
The two released routes, WHL and Kyle, are both lovely looking routes in their own right, the WHL South looks like it's coming along nicely but how many runs will it take for the purchase day excitement to waver?
