To quote their FB page, CHSR80A is the first of the new releases today. Wonder if there are only two, or more to come.

Can we handle any more releases this week??? :o

Not particularly interested in routes outside of europe if I'm honest but the Chengdu route looked very well built. Plus I'm not in favour of the pricing policy over a JT at the moment when other purchases are needed for routes to even load correctly, never mind the scenario's. I'll only buy off JT now if something really takes my fancy like ECML or Kyle.
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

Just to clarify: The Southwest China High Speed Route Network doesn't need other route/train purchases, it doesn't need the previous Chengdu-Suining route - if you've not got that it doesn't matter, as this new one has that route plus 424km more route included. Also comes with the CRH1A EMU. If you do have that older Chengdu-Suining route purchased from Just Trains, then we're letting people buy a version of the new Southwest China High Speed Route Network for half price as a thank you for having purchased the previous one.

The only requirements for existing content are the "default assets" which aren't "default" in later versions of Train Simulator - most people already have them, either from owning TS2012 or before, or from having purchased Steam DLC which includes them, but we have to detail it so as people who don't aren't caught out by surprise.

Thanks,

Simon

Can I just say I am seriously impressed, and it asks serious questions of other route builders, to have 570km of line in the route. Is it counting up end to end, or is that multiplying running lines together?

It's a network, but from Chengdu to Chongquin in 300km, and other 100 linking various cities with suining and Chongquin.

As for the speed limits, does anyone know if they are prototypical? Wikipedia says the max speed on the line is 200 KPH

Well, this is what I found on wiki about the route....
The Chengdu–Chongqing Intercity Railway (simplified Chinese: 成渝客运专线; traditional Chinese: 成渝客運專線) is a 307-kilometre (191 mi) long high-speed railway that will connect the cities of Chengdu (Sichuan) and Chongqing in southwestern China, with a planned maximum speed of 350 km/h. The route will pass through most of the same cities that the older Chengdu–Chongqing Railway does, but will be significantly shorter due to the greater use of elevated sections and tunnels. It is expected to reduce travel time between Chengdu and Chongqing to 75 minutes, 45 minutes quicker than the current CRH route via Suining. The line will include four major elevated sections and two tunnels

I am tooing and frowing as to get the new Southwest China High Speed Route Network from JT but querying as to which version to get, I have the previous Chengdu to Suining High Speed Route also from JT although not installed on my system at the moment in favour of the Steam DLC which is. Am I correct in that there is no difference in the two versions that are offered by JT other than the price? and also would it work with the Steam DLC version installed?

It doesn't need to see the old route installed, as long as you've got the Chengdu-Suining route in your Just Trains account it'll let the discounted "for owners of Chengdu-Suining" version install in to TS2015. I understand it installs as a completely separate route so as not to break scenarios on the previous route.

Simon
