How to unlock a file, for editing ? It's been so long now, since I last did this, it's slipped my mind, since TS2015 came out - with a few changes, and things being slightly different, of course, and I'll be fine after a "slight refresher" ! Thanks, if you're able to oblige, mate !

Re: Would someone please explain, briefly, to me,
Right click on the file name, scroll down to Properties (probably at the bottom of the list) and make sure the Read-only box is UN-checked
Same applies to all files in a folder - right click on the folder name and make sure the Read-only box is clear and unchecked

Hi Chris...
I'm not sure if I got this right, in the first place ! By "file", I mean a file, in Rail Simulator itself. A route, perhaps. If you need to play around with it, some files are locker, to prevent things going wrone, as a safeguard, get me here? How do you unlock a route file ? Sorry for the mistake

Hi Jim,
Load a scenario for the route
Drop into the World Editor
Click on the little padlock icon (bottom right hand side) to lock/unlock a route
You'll be invited to confirm your action when unlocking, click on 'Yes'

My problem seems to be that developing some problem with my brain, it's not real bad at the moment, but getting harder for me to recall some things, at times, so I have little option, but to ask for a little help, at times, and, generally, I get it right enough for most to get the problem right in general. Sorry if you had a little problem - think how it was for ME !
