Right Mouse Button Not Working in CabView

Post by NAVYMAN »

Hi everyone,

I have been using trainsim since Microsoft days with not many problems, but this one has me totally beaten me so far .

I cannot drive anything as I cannot see any of the dials and switches including lights..

Does anyone have any idea what I have to do to get the right button of the mouse to work properly.

It does work in route making and works fine.

Help Please.....

Can't think, off the top of my head, where I've ever used the right mouse button in cab.
I always use the left mouse button or the keyboard.

Hi, have you got either `snap to` enabled in pointer options or `click lock` in button options turned on in the mouse control panel?

Have you tried the switch primary and secondary button option to eliminate a hardware issue?

Do you have FaceTrackNoIR installed, perhaps?

That would cause this behaviour, when it's installed but not active.

Hello,

No I do not have FaceTrackNoIR nor TrakIR and I am still stumped as to what it could be.

Do you have a standard Microsoft cursor installed?
Do the arrow keys on the keyboard work (or the Numpad right/left - I forget which)?
Does the right button work in other applications?
Update/reinstall mouse driver or run MS troubleshooter?

Can you try another mouse just to eliminate the one you are using isn't faulty. Yes I know it works outside the cab. Just another avenue to try.

I can't for a moment imagine you have CabViewKeys (CVK) installed, but just to make extra sure... because this behaviour is exactly how CVK works. :o

With CVK active, you have to press Ctrl while right-clicking and dragging in-cab. (So as not to mess up the CVK views by accident.)
