Problems with the map screen
Hi,
Is anyone else experiencing problems the the map view (from the 9 key)?
When I use it the grid lines start to flicker, and zooming in, or moving the map around creates multiple overlaid images of the route (admittedly this does look kind of tripy, but it's not helpful) until it settles down to a normal image again.
Cheers
John

Hi
I think this is a problem with the latest Nvidia driver. Others on here have reported such problems too. Not sure if it's been fixed yet.

Re: Problems with the map screen
Some of us had this problem after updating the Nvidia driver to the latest version for Witcher 3.
Rolling back the driver to the previous version (for GTA5) cured this.

Ah, thank-you. perhaps the next nvidia version will fix it. It's not a major issue, as I don't use the map too often.

Yes, it is summat I now also see after updating my Nvidia drivers.
As Clemmo says, rolling back should solve the '10PintsVision' nature of the maps. I will put up with it a bit longer in the hope that a near future driver update inadvertently fixes it

The latest Nvidia driver for Windows 10 also has the same problem.

What level of AA do you have applied in-game Trev? I've read that the issue crops up when you're using any SSAA settings but is OK with MSAA/FXAA, but had rolled back to an earlier version before that so haven't checked.

hi, ...
Yes, Key "9" Screen is flickering with Nvidia 353. Driver Version.
I change this, with older Version 347. Driver.
Works now well.

Re: Problems with the map screen
I'm using SSAA settings and was getting the issue, before I rolled back to 347.88. Won't be dropping back the settings, as the rest of the game looks fine with my GTX970.gptech wrote:I've read that the issue crops up when you're using any SSAA settings but is OK with MSAA/FXAA, but had rolled back to an earlier version before that so haven't checked.
Expanding the TS wagon fleet.

FXAA and master detail high. I'm more than happy with these settings.gptech wrote:What level of AA do you have applied in-game Trev? Re: Problems with the map screen
That could be why you're not getting the problem then, if what I've read is true. I'm not going to suggest you shove your AA higher as a test though, there's no need to *break* your setup even if dropping back to FXAA would cure it as the result won't particularly matter---it's not as if we don't have working drivers!!Trev123 wrote:FXAA and master detail high.
