I'd imagine it will come out at the same time as a package for an extra £5.

Hopefully AP will make a patch or edit their brilliant Class 101/117/121 Sound Pack (Pro) sound pack to include this unit.

Looks quite nice to me,I wonder what loco or DMU we will actually get with the Weardale Route,it would be nice if the next DMU could be a Birmingham Railway and Carriage Works one, either a 104 or 110,or some thing unusual a 128 DPU.

A Class 101 in BR Green with headcode boxes will come with the route itself.

Can anyone tell me, do these sound pretty much like the Class 101 in real life, or nothing like?

I want to try to give them the "AP" treatment using the Class 101 Sound Pack (which I'm also going to do on the Class 101 provided with the Weardale & Teesdale), but not sure how realistic the sounds would be. Failing that, I might just convert the gear controls to be compatible with the AP-edited Class 101.

Hopefully once the 105 is fully restored(which shouldn't be too long away hopefully) AP or someone could come over and record the sounds to make a realistic sound pack for it.

As I have mentioned in the past about RSC's DMU sounds, they seem more than adequate to me, in my opinion. Granted the AP sound pack has more refinements added ( and I will apply any mods AP may make to the 105 sounds, if any appear), but as a starting point the current sounds do the job (AP recorded these originally anyway).

Most Cravens sets ended their days with Leyland engines just like the 101's, so rather than spend time recording a set of AEC sounds especially for the 105 (which I reckon only an informed ear would spot anyhow), for instance I'd much rather they capture the rhythms of the Rolls-Royce C6 and apply these to the Class 111,
