Re: DTG Weardale and Teesdale Rail Network
Really looks like this route, with the K1 that is to follow shortly after will be 2 of the best addons to date, can't wait to drive what will undoubtedly be a top loco around the north east

Re: DTG Weardale and Teesdale Rail Network
I enjoyed watching the preview of Weardale & Teesdale with Derek Siddle on Twitch, clearly a lot of effort, time (and love…) went into the making of this route and it seems release is now not too far away. And then at the end of the show there was Derek telling us ‘there are going to be a number of steam trains following very quickly I would imagine, so there are a number of steam trains in production that would run on the route’
There is more to look forward to than just the route with 08, 25, 37 and 101 and the already announced follow-up K1!

Re: DTG Weardale and Teesdale Rail Network
I have just looked at the preview video and I'm very impressed with the route and the stock that comes with it,just shows what DTG could do if they put their minds to it.
And with some hint of some new steam loco's in the pipeline,it looks like I will splashing the cash,on my to get list are the JT K4,and Victory Works K1 and Maxtrax LNER\BR Greseley Teak Coaches

Thank you Matthew, a huge pity this wasn't relayed onto their Facebook page, I'm sure they would have had more visitors to their live stream.deltic009 wrote:These are taken in the mobile app, time shown at the top for both on 11th and 12th of June they were posted out.

Those are screenshots from their Facebook page in my phone app - they were on the Facebook page - it's no coincidence there were nearly 200 people watching it right from the start.TransportSteve wrote:Thank you Matthew, a huge pity this wasn't relayed onto their Facebook page, I'm sure they would have had more visitors to their live stream.deltic009 wrote:These are taken in the mobile app, time shown at the top for both on 11th and 12th of June they were posted out.

The stream was advertised on all of their sites, Facebook, Twitter, Engine Driver and the blog that Derrick has been writing about the progress of the route for the last few years. Its also worth following them on twitch so you get notifications when they go live. I'm not sure what more they could have done.TransportSteve wrote:Thank you Matthew, a huge pity this wasn't relayed onto their Facebook page, I'm sure they would have had more visitors to their live stream.deltic009 wrote:These are taken in the mobile app, time shown at the top for both on 11th and 12th of June they were posted out.

However twitch stream is still available here http://www.twitch.tv/dovetailgames/v/6094065 if you want to watch it. Probably one of the best streams they have done. I look forward to its release. the detail is amazing.

Hi,
I can't see it being released just yet, especially while the steam sale is on,or they are waiting for victory works K1,it would be ideal to release all 3 together on steam, the route and 105 addon and the K1.

After watching the video last night i give this route a big thumbs up ,it reminds me of the same high quality that was put into the Woodhead route which is still one of my favourite routes. Its based in a good time period like Derrick said 1950`s to 1965 which means it will work well with steam or early diesel.Looked like the route is totally semaphore signalled so you could even go back further to pre nationalization 1948.Also noticed some new nice looking semaphore signals and signal gantrys along the route. It would be nice if they would put a small detailed historic section in the manual about what type of rail traffic was around that area in the 50`s and 60`s just to help scenario writers.Looks like this is gonna end up being another TS classic route.
Thanks Newbouy

Re: DTG Weardale and Teesdale Rail Network
I have just finished watching the video and really enjoyed it. Just before the scenario ended there was a view of the bay platforms used for the Teesside and Richmond trains where it was stated that LOCOMOTION was once displayed on a plinth before removal to North Road and the unknown loco next to it was DERWENT,

Hi,
Freight Trains coal trains would mostly be non fitted(Grey Vehicles 16\21\25T) cement trains, pick up freights, oil trains, mixed freights,on the main line Durham-Darlington, Fast fitted freights,Fish Trains from Aberdeen\Peterhead-London,(loco's hauling fish trains A1\2\3 and V2) a good V2 would be 60809 The Snapper,East Yorkshire Regiment, live stock trains.
Steam Loco's BR Standard 2,2MT \4\4MT\5\7\9F,WD 2-8-0,A1\2\3\4,V1\V2\J39\J50\J72\K1\2\4,
Coaching Stock Gresley 61ft 6in Teak Stock,Thompson and BR MK1,in the early days of the Mk1's they were only used on named trains, like the Heart of Midlothian,The Aberdonian, these trains would pass through Bishops Auckland when the main line was shut due to engineering works.

Re: DTG Weardale and Teesdale Rail Network
Somehow, I think you wouldn't see K4's on this network. It is my understanding that they spent their entire working lives in Scotland, with only the last few years spent away from The West Highland Line.
Expanding the TS wagon fleet.
