Those achievements (for example, 801 in the 801) are mileage based, so it's 105 miles in a 105. :D

Or drive for 105 miles total in the 105.

I already have that achievement. I was driving my old 105 on Woodhead and suddenly it popped up
Class 105 Coincidental Speeds
Awarded for driving 65.6 mph (105 kmph) in the class 105

Looking at the latest facebook picture, the 105 is going to be a separate addition to the route, hopefully DTG will release a multipack with both items.

Just wanted to quickly confirm the rather unsubtle hints I've been dropping for the past 6 months :D
The steam loco that we've been sat on is indeed for the upcoming Weardale & Teesdale Railway as most of you guessed. It will hopefully be released soon after the route.
I will try and get a blog post up later this week with all the details.

Hmmm, what Steam loco?? The only current creations on your blog are the English Electric GT3 Gas Turbine prototype and the American USATC S160, neither of which will be authentic to Derek's Weardale route????

That'll be the steam loco that hasn't been announced yet, Steve.

The latest picture on Facebook shows a 101 on the route.

It makes sense to release the 105 separately as some people who want the 105 might not be buying the route.

Hmm, aye, but, Malc, it must have been announced to the community at some stage if folks have already guessed what it is, but, I haven't seen it, so, I don't know what Pete is going on about.

Cheerz. Steve.
Hints have been dropped in various posts at Pete's blog, such as this:
http://victoryworksts.blogspot.nl/2015/ ... class.html
The previous loco project has now been put to bed waiting for the route's track work to be finalised so we can write the scenarios, so that means that it's time for another loco build to begin.
And this:
http://victoryworksts.blogspot.nl/2015/ ... ng-on.html
Hey Victory Works, we hear many of you shouting, what's happening? Have you quit?

Definitely not, we reply!
We do like to write regular blog posts of work in progress and keep everyone up to date with new developments (and pretty pictures!) but since the GWR Small Prairies pack we've been working on a loco for a route that hasn't been announced yet.
Consequently we can't say anything about it yet, sorry!
And there have been various more hints in posts on the forum, on facebook, on the blog... Eventually revealing that not one, but two locos have been made which are not yet announced, both un-announced, kind-of bespoke models! (well, the loco for Weardale is perhaps not quite bespoke. The other one, probably yes... From what I've gathered from various hints, not all of which I can remember and locate now!)

Cheers,

So what loco(s) for this route is Pete referring to I wonder? A J39 would be a strong contender.

A J39 would be very welcome, but I think the one essential engine would be the ex-NER J21 0-6-0. However, as SSS has already announced the J21 for their forthcoming Stainmore route I wish for a ex-LNER(NER) A8 4-6-2T tank… One can dream!
