Hi Art.
Yes, I have just loaded it and saved and reloaded, I am getting the same problem as you.
I have a funny feeling that this is one of the activities that has to be run without saves.
Cheers
Andy

Hi Andy.
It seems that we are the only ones getting this problem as so far no Posts.

I don't think I can be of any help, but in my book I've got this down as being "easy" finishing 1 min early. On Mid East Plus I save every 15/20 minutes,so it could not have been a problem for me !

Hi Art,
Don't worry, mate, you're not the only one to have problems with this activity!!
I haven't run it to completion, but up to the vans collection at Hitchin. I took 4 saves :
1. Before the first RP
2. After collecting the first set of vans
3. Before the Hitchin RP
4. After collecting the Hitchin vans
Before reaching the first RP, I had :
"Can't add car MEP-Mk1_BSK-MN-ER-air (uid: 200439) to world"
After clicking to continue, the act proceeded without problem.
Attempts to start from a save resulted as follows :
1. Crash to Desktop
2. Act restarts OK, but loco won't move - AI trains running OK but only low background sounds.
3. ) As above.
4.)
A contributory factor may be that, to run an earlier activity, it was necessary to copy most of the SCP TRAINSET folder into that of MEP. I will restore the original MEP TRAINSET folder, retest and report back, because I can't believe that after all the testing which was carried out on MEP, no-one had the same problem
Cheers,
Ged

Re: MEP - Morning parcels from Cambridge
Hi,
Running with a "virgin" MEP installation, this activity crashes to the Desktop when trying to save when approaching the first RP.
Removing all the Traffic items resulted in a save being taken successfully, together with a following save and their subsequent re-starts.
Restoring only half of the Traffic items still ended in a CTD, as did restoring only the other half of Traffic items! With 54 AI trains, it could take a long time to track down the culprit/s !!
Adjustments to the MSTS installation have included ensuring there are no Saves already held, and unchecking Dynamic and High Detail shadows.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: MEP - Morning parcels from Cambridge
Sorry to hear you are having trouble Art.
I can assure you that this, and indeed all MEP activities, were fully tested and in working order prior to the production of the DVD. I would not have tested an activity of this length without at least one save and resume, and possibly more.
I have run the start of this activity for about 11 minutes. I made 4 saves during this time, each of which I can restart from.
My installation was from the DVD to a default MSTS installation, so I have no additional items of stock, etc. All activity tests in MEP were with the use of Mini Loader so that only the relevant activity and its necessary items were loaded. My system does struggle with the more built up areas of MEP, but I have been able to run all activities on full settings.
I appreciate that this is not much help to anyone who is having problems, but I did not want to ignore the thread.
The only advice I can give, which may or may not help, is to only save the activity in more remote areas. I find it useful to have the frame rate indicator (Shift + z) on display at all times to help with judging when to save.
