How do I Get Rid of Blue Spikes in the Sky?

Some of you may have downloaded and run the Southampton to Weymouth route (http://members.uktrainsim.com/filelib-i ... leid=33172 that my Cousin has created with a very small amount of help from me. He is now working on a much-improved update but seems to have inadvertently introduced a strange phenomenon (!) - blue conical spikes that appear in the sky in certain locations en route.

Does anyone know what causes these and how he can eradicate them? So far, he and I have had to learn by trial and error but this has us foxed. Incidentally, when the train is stationary and the spikes are "active" they do cycle through the following stages; appear, move and disappear - each spike being independant of the other.

I've no idea how to get rid of this phenomenon but it's nothing new - the current version of the Southampton-Weymouth route also suffers from it.

Wow Donal! I didn't know about this forum discussion. It looks like they have a solution. I'll let my cousin know. Thanks so much for your reply.
