DTG supporting SteamVR

Post by scefhwil »

According to this article DTG Fishing will be one of the first games to support Valves SteamVR hardware:

SteamVR I understand is a headset (video and audio) plus a controller in each hand, plus two sensors placed around you.

Speculation No1 - you will be able to physically stand and cast your line and see your character do the same?

Speculation No 2 - In TS-UnReal you will be able to stand and reach out to operate the engines controls with you hands?

The Steam VR is the most promising of the VR headsets that I've been reading about recently, and the fact that it tracks hand movements makes me indeed hopeful that you will be able to see your hand reach out for the controls in the cab, and control the train that way!!

Otherwise, using controls is one of the main challenges which I see in using a VR headset in train simulator.
