Re: DTG Class 442 Wessex
I remember liking the looks of the 442s when they were introduced (though mostly via pictures in the magazines, as that wasn't my part of the world).
I'd need to buy a 3rd rail route though!

So go on! Who watched the Twitch promo for the 442. I missed it. What's it looking and importantly sounding like?

Ah good to see the Class 455 sounds are back!
Looks great externally and internally though!

I couldn't help but notice the seats are in the the old South West Trains moquette rather than the deep plum of the Gatwick Express refurbishment too. Or is the lighting on the real 442 that dim I can't tell?

Re: DTG Class 442 Wessex
Many thanks for the heads up, downloading now.
EDIT: It's very nice!
Brilliant, superb add-on! Just what we needed for L2B. Love the fact you can change the destinations in game for the whole train!

Re: DTG Class 442 Wessex
In all honestly this it a lovely modelled unit and does look superb!! However I feel that it's a bit let down by the sounds as they weren't recorded off a 442 they are recycled 455 and EPB sounds which is a bit disappointing but predictable unfortunately and the physics are wrong too, the unit accelerates far too quickly, the brakes are nice to have the switchover from EP to Auto but the auto brake isn't simulated properly which I feel is a real shame and I was expecting DTG to include the camshaft control system like they did with the EPB add-on but they didn't.
A lovely model and one that has been really needed to add a bit of authenticity and realism to the L2B, SLL & possibly PDL and if AP can produce a nice sound pack and tweak the physics as they did with the 319 that would really complete this unit

Most likely with the rest of the manuals..... look in the Manuals\EN folder.
