WCML London and Midlands

Re: WCML London and Midlands
Yes the speed drops to 5mph for no reason at a few places but overall a marvellous route.
A few of us now have these graphics glitches a few miles out of Euston. They were not in the TS 2014 version.
I also see 2 on the Chiltern route.
Is it something to do with the updated IOW route perhaps as I found was my problem in Southampton-Weymouth ? Well IOW-Network assets anyway.

Re: WCML London and Midlands
You can easily remove the point levers (lever 1) and replace them with motors by editing the tracks.bin. If you want any help doing it let me know and I'll explain what to do in detail. Lever 2 is a bit more awkward. I can get rid of them but as of yet not replaced them with a motor.skoda wrote:Downloaded and installed this latest version (File id 34101) but I still have manual points everywhere ?
I've deleted the route folder and reinstalled (twice) Cleared the cache etc. just in case the program was picking up remnants of the previous version but it's still all manual points .
Thanks

Re: WCML London and Midlands
Thanks for the offer of help but I'm comfortable with modifying bin files . My original post was more to enquire as to why the points where all still manual on the route , as I assume from previous forum posts that Photons66 had removed the route to add on the upgraded tracks bin file by Ian Sterrett . This file replaces all the manual points with automatic versions and the latest uploaded version of the WCML route includes this in the description " this upload is the full route with the recently released modifications to the points" ?
I'll try dropping in Ian's modified tracks .bin file to see if it sorts it , At the moment though I cant really see any differences with the track between this and the older version of the route ?

Hi
I installed the modified file on mine but it didn't remove the levers only made the points automatic. If it works on yours let me know.
To save you messing I can send you the tracks.bin file if you want.

Re: WCML London and Midlands
Could you please send it to me as well or post on here.
Thanks for your efforts. I thought the points would be fixed in this version.

Re: WCML London and Midlands
It is obvious, on driving this, that some serious time has gone into making this route. I am in awe of what Photons66 has done under the radar. I had a huge amount of fun last night, hopping into a class 86 and roaring between London and Birmingham, stopping at Coventry and Birmingham Intl. And just to make sure that we were really onto a gem here, I ran it on my laptop and got solid framerates the whole way. Sure the detail level isn't as high as WCML-N but it's not necessary as Edinburgh to Glasgow showed.
That being said, I'm hoping that this isn't the final edition! There are some bits that need sorting still, and there are areas that need improvement. There seems to be a cliff in Northampton that I've never seen in reality before
for example.
But we mustn't forget that we have, for the first time, real scope for activity creation.
It'd be really good if someone could come up with a definitive list of the required DLC for this route. Some is payware, some isn't. I seem to have most of the payware stuff - but it'd be good to get the links to the non-payware add ons I need.

Was building the midland mainline route for Railworks 2 - click here!! but is now on hiatus. Message me for any details concerning this route's continuation.

Is the latest version of this route available anywhere else? I don't have Premium Membership and am having problems keeping the connection up for the several hours it takes to complete the download.

Re: WCML London and Midlands
I have had to download and install the " Class 322 EMU NSE Stansted Express UKTS 32824" because apparently I did not have it and I kept getting "cannot load class 322 DTCO NSE" etc, etc. Now according to the instructions It was to be installed into Assets/RSC/Class321Pack2/ , which I have done and copied the necessary GEO files as well. Now, have I done something wrong!!! ? because I'm still getting the "cannot Load class 322"window, and I notice when I've unpacked the rwp file there is no folder named class322 which it's supposed to be looking for, and as the file says it should be. Can someone please check it for me.

I've got that download but it does not show as class 322 but as 321. Have you a DD_GE in the class 321 folder? If so you have it but need RWTools to swap the offending 322 for the 321 version.

I don't know if you know that you can buy one month's premium membership for £3.00 - make a list of everything you want before you subscribe, and then fill your boots with downloads.johndalton wrote:Is the latest version of this route available anywhere else? This route alone is well worth the £3.00 minimum subscription, besides the wealth of other stuff available, whilst I appreciate that the content it is available without paying a penny, the time it will save you easily mitigates the cost, besides, it helps to keep this invaluable site going!

Re: WCML London and Midlands
Hi,
Just so I'm just clear here, since I downloaded the original and installed later 3rd party extras like dark tunnels, manual points fix and line speed fixes, I do not have to download this version, as this is a combined version of all 3rd party fixes/improvements?
Thanks.
