Meterex is an anagram of Extreme therefore the announcement must be that Sonic the Hedgehog drives a train.

Easy really

Heh, and the page linked by me with the quote is now 404. even though it's still linked on the engine driver's main page.

http://www.engine-driver.com/article/sh ... lator-2016

"You’ve chosen your routes and mastered your machines, now prepare yourself to take on some of the world’s most extreme train challenges with the upcoming arrival of Train Simulator 2016.

Feel the power of American traction, the pressure of an overcrowded British railway and the precision of German engineering.

Launching in September 2015, TS 2016 will contain exclusive features and content that will challenge and entertain in equal measure.

Built on the foundations of the current Train Simulator technology, TS 2016 will provide a selection of all-new extreme challenges set across a variety of different eras that will test the mettle of every driver.

>>Launching in September 2015, TS 2016 will contain exclusive features and content that will challenge and entertain in equal measure.
<<Good
>>Built on the foundations of the current Train Simulator technology,
<<Which still needs fixing first
>>TS 2016 will provide a selection of all-new extreme challenges set across a variety of different eras that will test the mettle of every driver.
<<I just want to look at the pretty scenery, but, hey, there are others in this world.

I look forward to it, in the hope all the other TS15 will be fixed by the update. BUT - I will have backed up current version twice ! bought any new stuff first and, will not be back on line until someone sounds the all clear.

They could just leave it alone this year and not mess about with the menus, break things, make pictures vanish etc. Call me cynical but this re-branding once a year is done purely to keep the game in the public eye. The additional functions the editor received last year could have been released as a patch. Train Simulator Extreme? Sounds like they have been watching too many repeats of Ice Road Truckers. It's all going a bit.... lame?

Yeah, I cannot get on to Engine Driver either, it's gone into meltdown.

Thanks for printing the blurb for us, so, nothing out of the ordinary then, so much hype for so little substance.

Cheerz. Transport Steve.

Can't agree more. White hills, menus, nothing is fixed and what do we get? Announcement of the new version coming in September (!!!).

What do you want to break today?(tm)
DTG

(And yes I reported the white hills issue to DTG several times, last time in November last year and got a reply promising it would be fixed soon)
