Favourite HST
With Virgin taking over the East Coast yesterday, no doubt the ever dependable favourite HST will get another repaint.
I would make it a poll but there are so many liveries of this fine machine I'm bound to miss someone's favourite.
Let us know your favourite, maybe post a link to a picture.
To start off
Mine would be the Inter City Swallow with the half yellow cab

For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it

Quite a selection here to have a browse through if you have a few minutes spare.

Re: Favourite HST
InterCity Executive livery was my favourite by a long shot. Here's a picture I took of 43027 on arrival at York with 'The Armada' in 1987 (I foolishly didn't date it!). I'd travelled up with it from New Street.

Re: Favourite HST
The Swallow Great Western livery was a nice one. Also always had a soft spot for the original FGW Barbie livery with the white ends.
If only all problems on the big railway could simply be TAB'd past...

Re: Favourite HST
My favourite HST livery is actually one they never wore ! Someone has photoshopped an HST into APT style intercity livery here and it looks great IMO !

Re: Favourite HST
Wow Sam, that really looks good, imagine the scene at Euston with all the platforms occupied with that and APT's.
I think what would have been my favorite livery NEVER existed on the HST - Blue Grey reversed as per Blue pullman
Now prove me wrong . Cheers

Re: Favourite HST
For me too, BR Blue/Gray, I had the privilege to ride in the cab of one of them between London and Bristol. Unforgettable, especially for the young French trainee train driver I was at this time! Even if I drove 320 Km/h TGV at the end of my working career, this HST is one of my better memory.winifred89 wrote:Yes that.atlasduff47 wrote:No surprises from me, it has to be BR blue/gray......original and best!
And HST are running today, and I am now retired.
