Announcements during ts drive

Post by EngineerKenny123 »

Hi,

I was just watching some youtube videos of TS. I watched one on the Brighton-Victoria route, where there was announcement after announcement of approaching stations, safety briefs, don't forget your valuables, etc. Does anyone know anything about them - how to get them, or even if they are available? It was a beautiful addition to the ride. Thanks!

Hi Kenny. It's probably the Versystem sound board discussed in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 1&t=141042. I downloaded the demo when I saw the thread but haven't got round to installing it yet!

All the best,

Steve

I tried out the demo on the St Pancras-Faversham route the other evening. Definitely worth trying out. The sounds do lend well to the atmosphere, but I suspect it's a case of each to his/her own taste.

Agreed, just tried the London - Faversham freebie and loved it... Unsure if I would pay so much for each scenario but lets see what happens in the future.

Well guys - Thanks a ton, as usual. The Versystems Sound board is exactly what it is. Thanks Woodee. I appreciate these replies. It looks like a great product, but I am guessing that the one sound pack would be good ONLY for the one scneario versus the entire scenario package. And that would make it expensive. On the other hand, IF the one sound package worked with all scnearios in a given package, then it would be quite worth it. As stated earlier, will just see where this goes in the future. At least I am aware of a new (at least to me) product.

TrainTeamBerlin is doing something similar with their BR101 and BR143 PlusPack scenarios (and Scenario Packs using the 101 / 143 from these PlusPacks).

Announcements will be in German though in their scenarios.

OMG - I had no idea that this place even existed. Mr. Smarty2, thanks for pointing it to me. They LITERALLY have about $100 of stuff I want. I WILL be buying it too, although in pieces (short on cash, lol). To anyone reading this message, if you haven't ever checked this site out, DO SO. THere is so much to offer in the way of scenario add-ons. And the beauty is that they require (for the most part) only the base route. How wonderful is that? And they also have stuff for JT packs, like SECML. Wow, I am in awe. Got to get shopping. Thanks again Smarty.
