An appeal to scenario creators

Couldn't agree more. I've been a very enthusiastic subscriber to Steam Workshop scenarios, I rely on these almost totally (except for the purchased ones from AP or DP etc). I often took a punt and subscribed to "unknown" ones just to find out the requirements, but after many frustrating hours, I now have chosen a smaller "reliable" number of creators and just look for theirs. All of these "reliable" creators follow a basic principle of listing all DLC in the description.

I've also been frustrated by trying newly uploaded scenarios (often being the first to comment on them), finding a problem that prevents completion, clearly and diplomatically reporting my findings, and receiving a comment back from the creator along the lines of "well, just unsubscribe to it". Again, it's just made me more selective about those I subscribe to.

Unfortunately, there are many who upload and download files who don't visit the forums and read threads such as this one.

In the notes on the Upload Page it states

Categorisation is important, please make sure that you have it correctly classified. We will double check it and correct it as necessary but if you can get it right for us, that'll make our lives much easier.

Maybe a further note could be added to request the uploader 'If you cannot find the correct Class and Type in the drop down list, please include this information in your description'

"it should be taken care of by the workshop" but most of the time it isn't and most times the picture used for the screenshot is also wrong.
Also you don't know why an asset is required for a scenario - I just looked on the Workshop for Class 86 and one is required between Glasgow Central and Larbert?
Also scenarios on Bristol to Exeter need a class 86 ?

A lot of rubbish get's put on the workshop unfortunately and the situation has been made worse because to vote stuff up (or indeed down) you can no longer do from within the game as that feature has been taken out for some bizarre reason and very few people can be bothered to go onto the workshop page and vote after. Case in point one of mine has been the third most popular this week, over six hundred people have subscribed to it but only 20 have rated it which is below the threshold to get any green stars. Previously it would of got that within a few days.

I agree it can be annoying but I keep a complete list of all the routes I have and on checking the route numbers/letters of the route the scenario is in then it is relatively simple to to put it in the right route.You have to discipline yourself to keep your list of routes up to date.

I try to remember to vote and make a comment, even if it's just to thank you for sharing your work. I have shared a few scenarios and I know it's always nice to get a comment from someone - sort of makes you feel it's been worthwhile doing the work if it's been able to please someone else. I've subscribed to a few more of your scenarios today so I'll look forward to having a run on them.
