Perhaps the FCC liveried 319 is the only one available on the PC that was used for the WIP shot?

And, well, theres a fair few 319s in old FCC colours everywhere.gptech wrote:tycoonkid9 wrote:As for the 319. Why the ---- did they have to use FCC...

That may be true but the real line ends at Brighton, so any scenarios can be based on real services, ending at Bedford where many expresses don't stop at makes unreal scenarios, drivers don't bale out of moving trains. We had similar debates about WCML over Shap when the original plan was to end at Lancaster. But unlike DTG the author listerned to peoples views and ended the route in a more appropriate location where driver changes occur. This is why DTG get slated so much for not taking customers views or real practises into account.749006 wrote:Also people are complaining that the route is only 50 miles long but London to Brighton is only 51 miles long - no complaints about short distance that I remember.

As DTG/RSC were/are the publishers of that route they'd have had a say in things--release dates etc, so if any further work was likely to cause it to slip then it wouldn't have happened.david1 wrote:But unlike DTG the author listerned to peoples views and ended the route in a more appropriate location where driver changes occur. TransportSteve wrote:The thing is will DTG cater for everyone, will they include Goldington Power station at Bedford end, will they have the Stone Terminals at Leagrave and Radlett, the Vauxhall Plant at Luton and Brent Yard and Cricklewood MPD I presume will be automatically included, even if we can only operate more modern trains I want to run some binliners and assorted freights and Dave Brindley's Class 317s on BedPan duties, that'd do me nicely.......![]()

So perhaps the answer is not to include rolling stock with routes, then there'd only be the single version to buy separately?tycoonkid9 wrote:People that buy the MML but later buy South London and/or London to Brighton have to spend £13 for the exact same train just for the workshop compatibility
You're absolutely right there Gary but it's a pain to have to do so.gptech wrote: With regards to workshop compatibility: use RW Tools to swap what's missing with what you have!!
Still got HSTs are Freight37114 wrote:TransportSteve wrote:The thing is will DTG cater for everyone, will they include Goldington Power station at Bedford end, will they have the Stone Terminals at Leagrave and Radlett, the Vauxhall Plant at Luton and Brent Yard and Cricklewood MPD I presume will be automatically included, even if we can only operate more modern trains I want to run some binliners and assorted freights and Dave Brindley's Class 317s on BedPan duties, that'd do me nicely.......![]()

I can't help think that a route done pre St Pancras getting its 'international' status would of been the best compromise in terms of catering for everyone. Those of us that like older diesel traction would be happy and those that want to play with 319's would be catered for too. Obviously we've not seen any screenshots of St Pancras itself yet but an FCC liveried 319 is a fair indicator that St Pancras is modelled in its current guise. It would seem rather odd driving a peak into that!
