Sounds good, at last we now have a route for class 67`s on passenger workings and a route to run the class 168 repaints on. know doubt DTG will be making a class 68 in the future as it is new and will appeal to the masses, will have to wait a while to have a real play with the route as now spending time on the Newcastle to Edinburgh route. I like Photons66 WCML Midlands route so great work.

Love this route, it's brilliant.

Don't worry, they're on UKTS!

Many thanks!

Downloaded the route - already have most of the requirements - and ran it through RW Tools.

A few bits missing:

1. Has anyone got the direct link to the forum.treinpunt.nl forum - I cannot read Dutch and am finding it difficult to navigate.
Need the FL/Shanks reskin for the 56.

2. Even though I have WCML installed, I have no folder scenery in it - which includes buildings,
and there are several RW Tools tell me I need. Re-installed WCML and still the same.

3. I needed the Looe and ST Ives branches - downloaded Looe okay but cannot find the St Ives branch.
Any pointers please? Seems I only need a golf.bin from this route.

TIA for any help.

Link for the 66 Shanks

I can't find the CR165 that it requires nor the extra FEA-B wagons from FL Class 66 pack.

Any ideas?

Many thanks :)

Photon

Many thanks for the hard work and effort putting this together, I'm really looking forward to trying this out, once I sorted a few missing items out.

With that in mind, I think I might have spotted a small problem which the community might need to be aware of. It relates to the Just Trains track and scenery items included in this route. The route is referencing Just Trains/ModernObjects/LevelCrossing folder. When I ran the route through RWTools, they came up as missing.

A little curious, I checked and the folder did exist but aside from a number of folders, I had no files whatsoever installed. I did some further exploration and did find the items needed in the Just Trains/CommonLibrary/LevelCrossings folder. These can be easily swapped using RWTools just thought people might be experiencing the same problem. I'm guessing JT have been trying to tidy up their installations (which makes perfect sense) but thought this might throw some people installing this.

The LevelCrossings folder is actually located in the JustTrains\ModernObjects\RailNetwork\ folder. Using RW Tools, you should be able to substitute the correct file path for the incorrect one on that basis. I suggest you check in that location to see if the you have the files there (there should be 36 files, plus the related textures folder). If so, then the solution I suggest above should work.

Wow! This route looks amazing! Just a few questions.

Does this route include the Bicester Branch?

Also, do you have another fabulous route on the way or are you going to surprise us?

Well done!

Alex.

I've really enjoyed an afternoon driving this route all the way up the mainline from Marylebone to Kidderminster. I also had a trip down to Stratford on Avon and I must say this is an exceptional route, especially approaching Birmingham and around the west midlands. The route has a very leafy and detailed feel throughout and the scenery goes well beyond the drivers view, I congratulate the developer(s) and thank them for this fabulous new year present. The only feedback I could add are small points, the track limit in game is 90 mph on the line to Stratford and there are some discrepancies in a few places between the track side speed and the in game limit. In summary though for me this is a superb addition to UKTS and will keep me amused for a long while I'm sure.

Ash

Sorry, you are correct about the typo in my original post. However, I've checked every folder in the JustTrains\ModernObjects folder and every single folder is completely empty bar their folder names. So either something is wrong with my installation (completely possible) or, given I found them in the JustTrains\CommonLibrary folder, I'd assumed JT had done some tidying up. Screenshot of folders shown below.

As you say, it's not insurmountable as RWTools can resolve it just thought it was worth mentioning so others can check to see if there might be wider consequences on other routes (or those being built) if they have actually been moved by JT or if it's just my installation that's at fault.

Andrew

Edit: I've also found my missing scenery building (a25_lineside_location_room_brick.bin) in the Bristol_Exeter_1/Scenery folder. Once I've got those swapped over, that should be the route sorted (bar the golf.bin which I understand Photon has kindly sorted out). Then to check the scenarios!!

From what I have seen so far the route really captures the area well and as a regular traveller between Stourbridge and Smethwick I instantly recognised many parts of the route.

The only slight quible I have is that it shows a speed limit of 40 mph on the HUD between Kidderminster and Jewellery Quarter where as some parts are definately 60 mph and Old Hill tunnel is 45 mph however this is minor. The only other problem I encountered on trying to recreate a Chiltern Kidderminster to London service the dispatcher is trying to get me to reverse after Jewellery Quarter then travel back into Jewellery Quarter on the other line then back to Snow Hill! However the it has been playing up on the ECML today so I don't think that is a problem with the route.

It is obvious a lot of time and effort has gone into the route and to the route author I am very grateful.
