Steam Sale _ Best Buys Advise please

Post by zigal »

I have spent oodles of cash on the sale this holidays. Bought almost all the sound packs from Armstrong Power House.
Need to be guided as to the best buys on the STEAM Sale guys.
I have to make a choice (max 2 Routes) on the following please:
West Highland line
West Rhine(Cologne to Koblentz)
Pacific Surf liner
Norfolk Southern Coal District
Munich Augsburg

Which ones are graphically excellent with enough scenarios - Payware or freeware.
Pl;eae help out and give some guidance
Much appreciated

West Rhine and West Highland without doubt.

To my mind both Pacific Surfliner and West Highland are both evocative routes, but PS has more variety of landscape (inner urban, urban sprawl, coast, rural) and more operational possibilities.

I would also say West Rhine and Higland routes. The only thing with the West Highland route at the moment is there is only 1 item of stock available with the RETB system. We could do with a Class 156 and probably a steamer to have this functionality to give a bit of variety to the route. Yes you can run regular stock on the route, but half the fun of using the route is learning to use the RETB.
