Making Tracks / Collett coaches

Post by rkk01 »

Want to buy the Colletts on the MT website, but am I missing something???

Can't see any way to register on the MT site. Does all become clear as you progress through the ordering process?

Per the front page of the Making Tracks website:
During the move to Download only products, there will be a few days where pages of the website report bad links and pages are not where they should be.
This mostly affects the Route Pages at the moment, but will affect all parts of the shop during the transition.
It was hoped to have this ready for the switch over last weekend but due to real life commitments, it has been delayed.
As a temporary measure, we have set up a temporary page to allow you to order our downloads here.
If you follow the links, they have set up a temporary page to purchase products while the website is partially down, their two Railworks products are here: http://www.makingtracks-online.co.uk/in ... mitstart=2

You might have to try the link a few times as I was getting "Resource Limit Is Reached" errors, but it came up in the end.

Thanks, I spotted that...

... But have you previously registered with MT???
I couldn't see any way to set up an account / subscription (which is fine, of course, provided a PayPal payment just triggers an email with a DL code

I have (from years ago with MSTS stuff), but didn't log in. It looked like purchasing via PayPal doesn't need an account, but I haven't tried it so I'm just guessing.

You NEVER need an account to purchase with PayPal. You always have the option of paying "via PayPal" using your credit card - the option appears once you click through.

Sorry, but that is NOT always the case. Depending upon the contractual relationship between PayPal and the supplier from whom you are buying something, PayPal will sometimes give you only the option of using an existing account or creating a new account while making that purchase. At other times, you may be allowed to use their guest facility with that same supplier.

So what is the tickbox in the flyout to get these to show and place, can't see anything in the manual about it

Instructions are in the main manual. Seems you are looking in the introduction brief, which only explains how to install the stock. Find the main Collett manual in TS 2015 Manuals/EN/MT_RW_Collet_Manual.PDF.

You need to tick "MT_Colletts_LW" under GordonMack in the flyout.

Don't forget to download the fixed scenarios from the Making Tracks site.
