Bradford Forster Square to Ilkley

Post by mericaadams »

I have been working on this route for several months now, progress recently slow due to various editor bugs which make things more difficult.
The route is not based on real world gradient data or terrain data, instead I started it by eye. Track and building placement is accurate based upon Google Maps overlay.

Currently the completed scenery sections of the route run from Bradford Forster Square - Baildon through Frizinghall and Shipley. I am aiming to get to Guiseley soon.

I have posted some pictures around the forums previously and some of the latest are below but following a suggestion a while back I thought it best to create a dedicated topic.

Wow, them pictures are stunning and I cannot wait to see more :)

Perfect kind of route for a short emu run (which I've been wanting for for ages).

Wow those screenshots look amazing, traveled along this line many of times and it's great to see it been done for Train Simulator. Just wish someone would do Bradford Interchange to Wakefield via Halifax which is my local line.
Keep up the great work....

Regards James....

Thanks James. I did think about tackling the Interchange in the beginning, but I am more familiar with the Wharfedale and Airedale routes.

That's ok... Have you thought about extending to skipton from Shipley as it would make a good addition to the route?

Thank you, that means a lot. I have been following your route(s) progress on the forums, you too have an excellent eye for detail. I have started re-skinning some select items but I was really impressed with your re-skin work, the track elements especially. I will post some more updates soon.

Funnily enough I was originally heading in that direction, even to the point of completing Saltaire station and Salts Mill areas, in the end it was more realistic to get to Ilkley first but I would like to extend towards Skipton sometime.

This looks very fine indeed. Any hope you might extend to Skipton? That would mean I dont have to extend Settle and Carlisle and further! :)

I would like to add my applause for your incredible scenery, I hope you're progressing with it! I use the Airedale line a lot and would love to have it and the Wharfedale line. Brilliant!
