Now THAT is exactly how I remember the 1st gen DMU's :P

No time to waste, straight to the shop for purchase and can finally drive them instead of just AI
Class 40's enjoyed their working life so much they whistled whilst they worked

Top drawer stuff, makes driving the respective units a joy, sound is very important in a sim and this proves the point :) What a difference.
Thanks for bringing back many happy memories Richard.

Great job again Richard, now I can start driving these units instead of just having them for AI`s. sadly will have to wait a week till payday before buying these excellent pack, its going to be a long week.

Do these sounds work on the older version of the class 101?

Hi All,

I know that Richard probably intends the 'new' 101 to be driven via the keyboard. But does anyone know what controls the display of the 'Gear Change Lever' on the F4 HUD?
On the 'original' BRGrey Class 101 the gear change lever is visible on the F4 HUD, but on the AP variants it has gone and you are forced to use the keyboard.

Is there an entry in the BIN file that determines in the gear lever is visible on the HUD?

Cheers.

I noticed that the gears are reversed, so 1st is 4th 3rd 2nd etc.

Yes, I also noticed that. Also the Gear Numbers are odd, like 100, 200, 300 and 400 ???
Maybe that is why Richard has dropped the Gear Lever from the F4 HUD on his variants.

In any case I would like to get it back if it was possible, even though you have to move the lever from Top to Bottom now.

The new gear functions on the AP versions took a minute or two to readjust to but what a difference. The 1st generation DMU's have been crying out for this enhancement since the 101 first came out. They actually now sound like a Diesel :D :D

Excellent work and well worth the price.

A question for those in the know. If and when DTG get round to releasing the other DMU's from the unmentionable website, the Class 105, 107 and 114, would this sound set cover them all?
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

now that is amazing, i closed my eyes during that video and felt like it was 1991 and i was on the train to school again (Grantham to Nottingham)

The 101 is about the only british train i really like, but i was so disappointed when i got it due to the dreadful stock sounds,
