TS2015 Patch re-issue

Post by alanch »

Recently posted on the RSC Facebook page in answer to a question about when the patch will be re-issued.

'RailSimulator.com Based upon the current development cycle we expect to release it as a public beta within a few weeks. Provided the beta all goes well it will roll out to everyone a few weeks after that. We will have more information closer to the time.'

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

a couple of people have issues with ts2015, and they want us all to be forced to roll back to ts2014, why.

i'm one of those who have no problems that i can detect with ts2015, slightly better frame rates, the new cloud system works well enough it seems, i dont want to go back to ts2014 thanks.

A couple of... where exactly do you get this "number" from? You surely must have some reliable source, I would love to hear about it.

Since nothing has been fixed so far I doubt the numbers would be much different now...

Count me as another that has had no problem with 2015 - and to be honest - the new menu system is sort of growing on me - so do not want a roll back either....

Your poll means didly squat really, you do realise the users on this forum and others represent a small fraction players so yeah, the use of the word couple or few could actually be fairly accurate when taking into account the entire userbase of ts2015.

Go ask every single player on what they think of it and then your poll might actually mean something.

I have no interest in going back to ts2014 either, the issues I do have with the update aren't game killers, frame rate is a pain and has dropped over 2014 but I'm living with it, new 3d clouds system I like and as for the menu , apart from the lack of a resume button which hopefully dtg will add back in I don't have any issues with it.

Exactly what I expected... TS2015 supporters are allowed to jump to conclusions by saying "a couple of people want to roll back" while those that actually have some hard data (that are substantially more relevant than any guesses) are constantly facing criticism.

You ask me to go to every TS player and only then the poll will be valid. This is not how polls are done, they work with samples. If UKTS forum user base provides a good sample is of course something we can argue about, but it is _definitely_ better than nothing.

And additionally, if I have no right to say people don't want TS2015 and have to prove it to you why don't you prove me that they actually want it? Someone once commented that just a few didn't like TS15; I started the poll to see how things are... and it's still not enough. A poll with 165 participants has no meaning while other person's guesses and opinions matter more.

Please think about it.

Come on guys, please stop arguing - I came here this morning to find any updated info re the patch, and what it covers, not to view squabbling and personal insults...

If you can't agree (and I can see that you both have diametrically opposed viewpoints), then can't you just agree to disagree? The forums would be a much more pleasant place without this sort of stuff.

Hi the way DTG reacted to worldwide reaction to TS2015,shows it was not just a couple of people with problems, and fair play to them they are attempting to put it right, the problems lie with the constant rebranding for rebranding sake, and with all the problems that ensue, year in year out,the updates always have the rushed out feeling,TS2015 was certainly not ready for release, but its Steam slot was probably booked in months ago, so it had to be released ready or not!i hope the developers take there time to release the patched, patch, patch and get it right for the majority of users this time.

I know we're getting off topic, so before a moderator steps in would it be more accurate to say that many had a dislike or a grievance with the look and feel of TS2015 rather than actually having *real* problems?

Hi all,
Yes I am also having problems with TS 2015, so until DTG issue the new patch I'm sticking with TS 2014, for those members who are having probs with TS 2015 and didn't backup TS 2014, well what can we say.

Regards.
Pete.

With today's games look and feel are one of the most important aspects, so they _are_ real problems. If you see distant hills at night and they are bright white, hard to speak of small look and feel issues...

Anyway, I replied here because I just did not like how people claimed that just a few users had problems without having any real data to back it up. This forum and steam forums are full of complaints, it's all pretty apparent for anyone who is willing to listen. I said what I said, let people decide whose arguments are more relevant. I will add nothing more to this discussion as it is really a bit off topic in this particular thread and I know I will never change some people's opinion... Howgh. :-)
