How do you compare like for like when MT's offering was nearly 10 years ago? At the time LSE was pretty much pinnacle of third party addons and was pushing what MSTS could handle and what developers could do.... Then moving on to MSTS GEML part 1 and 2 was quite frankly astonishing.

To answer the question "Would you be ok with having a high-detail route like this and having MT-grade models running along it?"....I would be quite happy with MT's GEML standard.

Even though MT's GEML was great for its time it's severely dated now and I don't think having that kind of quality that's quick to make but not as detailed as the stuff TS has would be a good move as it's been done before and didn't work at all.

Don't know abou all the rest of you but I can't help wondering what is DTG's interpretation of 'South London Network'? To me that would be all lines radiating from London Bridge, Charing Cross, Victoria, Waterloo, Blackfriars and Cannon Street to basically the M25 (yes I know by that point we're out of Greater London but not by much).

So on that basis are we getting Charing Cross to Dartford? Victoria to Bromley South. Waterloo to Hampton Court? Blackfriars to Sutton? (All of which are still very much inside the M25). The scenario mind boggles if that's the case and the examples I give are scratching a very tiny part of the surface.

Maybe not MT-sized packages, but maybe effort could have been made to create one piece of unique rolling stock for this package.
This will be the 4th piece of DLC where I will acquire a 375/377 incarnation and it would have been nice instead to have had maybe a class 376, or a class 411 or EPB.

Totally new rolling stock in the package would double it's appeal, and don't worry about quoting DTG's business model in regards to DLC to me, heard it many times and totally understand. I don't agree but I understand.

Seeing as in some photo's it's got the shared,narrows it down, to Charring Cross,Cannon St, Blackfriars Bridge and possibly London Bridge.
So Units Southern 377 and 171,South Eastern 466 Networkers and 375 Electrostars.FCC 319,375,377.all are used in other routes so nothing new emu wise,unless they do a london overground unit.

Routes could be London to Gravesend,or Dartford Loop,Norwood Junction,Sevenoaks.

Speak for yourself on that.

I, as a regular traveller on this route who lives within the region was pleased to see it brought to life in TS as it's a route that means something to me, also with the assets of Lime St and Piccadilly this will hopefully entice some route builders to extend to Crewe/Leeds etc. Also it was nice to see the North West represented - how many London & South routes do we already have?
Class 40's enjoyed their working life so much they whistled whilst they worked

Have to agree with Steve. As interesting as a piece of string with a knot in the middle and all the scenario potential

I'm excited for this but will reserve my final pre-purchase opinion until we get a map or hit of the extent of the network...

In my opinion the yardstick for this sort of thing (networks) is and remains the Glasgow area of WCML-N.
If only all problems on the big railway could simply be TAB'd past...

This was from quite early on in the build process, so thing will have changed, but it hopefully gives an idea of the timescales involved in these projects :)

No I don't think it's Norwood Junction, too small and enclosed.

Norwood Junction is four platforms is it not. Lots of consensus on Facebook for West Croydon but I'm not familiar.

Edit: Having looked on Google satellite view Norwood Junction has 7 platforms.

Defintely West Croydon, which makes me wonder...will the tram lines be a part of this network?

As much as I'm hoping for, I can't see this route featuring much of the South Eastern side of things :(
