Does anybody else see a lot of RailSimularity in this?

I bowed to peer pressure and bought it, thinking it might be good for my grandkids to keep them amused.
I'll have all of the scenarios completed before they arrive, it's a ton of fun. :D

Really glad you enjoyed it. We had fun creating it appreciate your kind words.

sargnickfury wrote::onfire: This is quite possibly the single most satisfying purchase I have ever made for Train Simulator. I purchased as a Halloween treat for my son who is 3 and loves trains. I mainly was getting it for him, and not expecting much for myself. However boy was I incorrect. Incredible models for the train, crazy fun and interesting landscape, some of the best lighting I have seen on ANY ROUTE, great sounds, and what actually I think most impressed me, was the missions, and flawless implementation of dialogue and directions....and the little counter on train for collecting items even worked....perfectly!. Why can't the "realistic" much more expensive routes at least get the mission, and dialogues this perfect? They should sub contact these guys just to make their missions for them. The missions were even complete with pausing etc so you don't miss it as that is often a huge issue on many routes I have played. (perhaps because they were made for older versions, I do not know). All for a current sales price of $4.99!!! I have paid more for a milkshake!

This is just really excellent. I also know this will be getting a lot of replay time, as son went crazy for it. The track and route itself is also incredible. Like some sort of childhood dream lay out. Spookey effects and Warcraft like graphics aside, the layout itself is very interesting and provides a lot of replay potential, even if it had boring scenery it would be an excellent learning route for a kid, or just fun time for an adult.

I couldn't agree more on wishing these guys would do SODOR. if they did the complete island, I'd probably pony 50-70$ for it without hesitation, and let's face it they could probably get more and the begging for it from my son would win me over. If it was of this quality and that epic in size, included all the locations. It would keep my son happy years...and honestly I'd enjoy it too. Esp, if I could chase steamies in Diesel 10... However as licensing would be likely a huge issue. Honestly why not just do their own children's dream train island etc? Make their own Characters? The popular show Chuggington is proof that Thomas doesn't have to be the end all in children and trains, (and honestly is a more entertaining kids show). My son kept saying he wanted a toy train like the Spirit for Christmas, I had to keep telling him it didn't exist....he just said but I could buy it. Ya know what I would if I could,......heck make their own characters, and as they already have the models, a quick trip with a 3d printer, and a call to a Chinese manufacturer and poof they could be selling the toys too... :P Bonus points if they make it "Kawaii" as that is the IN thing in kids toys and the Japanese railfans would go nuts.

Just outstanding work from the Skyhook guys.....don't limit this to just Holidays...... If you could do a Chuggington or a Sodor that would be absolute money, and honestly if you just make up your own characters for a children's fantasy theme, I'd buy that too....or how about a harry potter? A World Of Warcraft themed train? Go crazy!, I will purchase whatever they put out next if it is this much fun, and kid friendly! I have often said that TS should not limit itself only to realistic routes.... A few have made fantasy routes.... However in the past most haven't understood what that means. This team gets it........ and they got every aspect RIGHT!!!! Next time they won't have to put it on sale...for me to say "shut up and take my money!"

If you don't own this, and you own Train Simulator you are nuts.

9 out of 10......only because I want them to do something even bigger!!

P.S. No joke about that toy train for Spirit.....son wants....!!! Will pay extra if it's in wood and brio compatible.. :P
Thank you for your kind words, much appreciated. We had lots of fun creating this route and it's amazing to hear when people enjoy it.

We would love to carry out all of your ideas, almost too many good ones to mention..!

The licensing of the famous routes you mention is out of our hands, but should the opportunity arise we would of course jump at the chance to model Sodor, Chuggington, etc.

We plan to bring you more content as time goes on, both realistic and more fantastical, so watch this space..! Ideas for what you would like to see us create more than welcome. All sensible ideas considered..!

best regards,

The Skyhook team.

Darn you all, I've bought it for when my little chap is a couple of years older! Assuming he shows the slightest interest in trains, that is...
