Re: New DTG Uk Route
Hi
It would be nice to have the Withered Arm,Padstow to Weybridge with either the main line to Launceston,or the WR branch to Bodmin, most of the locomotives used on them both are available already.
The Western Region Trains were hauled by Prairie Tank Loco's,the Southern Trains N class 2-6-0 and West Country Class loco's I believe there is a O1 tank loco in the library some where, there is just one other loco that is a Beattie well tank.
One possible other loco would be a T9 4-4-0.

Re: New DTG Uk Route
I'd love to see a new steam era route. Hopefully we might finally see the back of those awful awful awful awful awful ad infinitum KRS vintage semaphores...
If only all problems on the big railway could simply be TAB'd past...

Good Morning,
If you accept that a French man has a little dream !!!! I will be very happy with two eventually futur project :
-1-London Euston to Birmingham New Street (like the route made by First Class Simulations for MSTS)
-2- A Preston to Birmingham route made by Mr Keith Ross
after we 'll have the two side (East and West ) from London to the Scotland.....
I kow , it is a dream , I hope that it is not a crazy idea , and it is impossible for me to forget the "Thames Mersey " route , excellent , bought on UKTrainsim for MSTS....but , I don't know if it is possible , and I don't realy understand why not , because that was made for MSTS....
have a good evening

Re: New DTG Uk Route
Hi all,
Just been thinking back to my younger days, what would make a great route would be the line from Derby through to Buxton all steam of course.
Passing through Cromford, Matlock Bath, Matlock, Bakewell then on to Buxton, I may be wrong but I seem to think from Buxton you could get through to Manchester. To members who are not familiar with the Derbyshire Peaks its an amazing part of the country, it would prove difficult to get all the info for the route but I'm sure old maps photo's etc may help.
Regards.
Pete.

Re: New DTG Uk Route
Would love to see some Midland based routes.
Especially B'ham Moor Street/Snow Hill Via Stourbridge Junction, Kidderminster onto Worcester Shrub Hill. Also of course Continuing of the WCML, Although for that am biased and would prefer the Wolverhampton - Birmingham Spur (But then could have Oxley Depot at Wolves for the Pendo's)
Also would like to see more Commuter routes, outside of London to. Sadly one of them would have to be Scottish being North Clyde Line, since use a section off it a lot. Also since OHL'd and lots of stops make it good to.

- To Do scenario, where you go along at 50mph in a Pendo? Who would play it?
Anyone want to help in Play Testing future Rising Storm/ Ro2 Maps? If so please PM me.

Re: New DTG Uk Route
Well, if Derby is in there, I 'demand' the Sinfin branch is included. God knows I've booked on enough railtours down the years to travel over it, only to have the rug pulled from under me every time...
Leicester to St Pancras with semaphores up to early-mid 1980s would be fantastic for me.
And I'd quite like a payware version of Euston to Birmingham, same as Jean Pierre. I don't get enough simulator time to try the very legendary freeware version available here with all the chopping and changing I would have to do to manage assets. So sorry to the guy who did that.
For the win - North Wales Coast please - Crewe to Holyhead. Even if it was set 2010 onwards, I'd still be able to run a plethora of stuff quite convincingly. Derby/Blythe Bridge to Lludo holiday trains with pairs of 20s, Class 37s/31s/47s on various short formation passenger trains etc. The list goes on with win.
Eagerly anticipate the extension of Riviera to Plymouth. What we currently have is really nice, but like getting jiggy with your first partner, is over far too soon.
We're starting to get some classic diesels back onto Steam - would be nice let them stretch their legs on something other than a preserved line of low line speed running with no thrash and clag.
All my opinion of course...
Happy to see steam routes too - LNWR or late BR steam period please...
<not one for copper capped chimneys, sorry>

+1 on the WCML, as much as all the pictures look great, I can only get free roam working anyway, and some people have had, the editor crashes when you want to make a scenario anyway.
I still like Preserved lines like the WSR, don't know why but you can still give the locos a thrash, I just do what some drivers do, brakes on, full whack throttle

Re: New DTG Uk Route
Re Tubemad's example, you'd have to do a lot more work with the locos on either of the currently available WSR routes to successfully complete the scenarios than just that!749006 wrote:25 mph shut off and coasttubemad wrote:I just do what some drivers do, brakes on, full whack throttle

Re: New DTG Uk Route
Wish they would continue HS1 down to the Channel Tunnel and include the 'classic' line to Dover Priory from Ashford. So much fun driving the 395 with the TVM430 signalling system and with RSC/Dovetail being a Kent based company, rather disappointed they didn't finish it off
