Re: New DTG Uk Route
it could be an update of the Riviera Line, but with Paignton to Kingswear made. As all the track has been laid and its signalled also.....

And whist they were doing that, DTG could also 'fill in the blanks" for the Portsmouth Direct Line (Ascot area), and ECML London to Peterborough (Hertford loop).davvydo wrote:it could be an update of the Riviera Line, but with Paignton to Kingswear made. Now this would give us scenario makers a lot more scope!

Re: New DTG Uk Route
Me too. It would be a wasted opportunity to not have a part of the Thameslink route represented. It would be perfect for the Class 319 and your enhancement pack, as well as some two-part Bedford-Brighton scenarios.phat2003uk wrote:I will forever wish for St. Pancras to Bedford (at least) to be represented. Such a route was suggested about on the Engine Driver blog by DTG so I can only hope!

Re: New DTG Uk Route
OOOOOhhh "Yes please", I was thinking that could be added to the really promising Wycombe line ?The Chiltern Mainline from London Marylebone to Birmingham Snowhill would be good
Dont forget the Aylesbury bit though

Re: New DTG Uk Route
There's something faintly sad about trundling through the uncompleted lines on the PDL. From Wokingham to Redhill, Alton and Ascot, Holybourne oil refinery and Farnham Traincare Depot... all fully signalled and set up as stations as well!dcfcfan wrote:And whist they were doing that, DTG could also 'fill in the blanks" for the Portsmouth Direct Line (Ascot area), and ECML London to Peterborough (Hertford loop).davvydo wrote:it could be an update of the Riviera Line, but with Paignton to Kingswear made. Another Northwest route would be nice, Manchester to Crewe, easy route for DTG as it is short and Manchester Piccadilly is already modelled and has more scope with local stopping services, expresses and Freight traffic running along the whole route, and be bungled with a class 323 unit which could also complement Liverpool - Manchester route at each end

The Class 323 units do not work in to Liverpool - the trains from Birmingham are worked by 350 units.david1 wrote:Another Northwest route would be nice, Manchester to Crewe, easy route for DTG as it is short and Manchester Piccadilly is already modelled and has more scope with local stopping services, expresses and Freight traffic running along the whole route, and be bungled with a class 323 unit which could also complement Liverpool - Manchester route at each end

One did venture to Liverpool last year from Birmingham, it was a very rare event though!749006 wrote:The Class 323 units do not work in to Liverpool - the trains from Birmingham are worked by 350 units.david1 wrote:Another Northwest route would be nice, Manchester to Crewe, easy route for DTG as it is short and Manchester Piccadilly is already modelled and has more scope with local stopping services, expresses and Freight traffic running along the whole route, and be bungled with a class 323 unit which could also complement Liverpool - Manchester route at each end

In Central Trains days 323s were in regular use on the B'ham - Liverpools.31466 wrote:One did venture to Liverpool last year from Birmingham, it was a very rare event though!749006 wrote:The Class 323 units do not work in to Liverpool - the trains from Birmingham are worked by 350 units.david1 wrote:Another Northwest route would be nice, Manchester to Crewe, easy route for DTG as it is short and Manchester Piccadilly is already modelled and has more scope with local stopping services, expresses and Freight traffic running along the whole route, and be bungled with a class 323 unit which could also complement Liverpool - Manchester route at each end

Re: New DTG Uk Route
was thinking of the time before 350 were built, even better if we got a class 304, but DTG stay mainly at present day not for us oldies than remember BR blue749006 wrote:The Class 323 units do not work in to Liverpool - the trains from Birmingham are worked by 350 units.
Re: New DTG Uk Route
The Birmingham area would be interesting .. especially if it was the Cross City Line!

Re: New DTG Uk Route
Just a thought...
DT Plymouth-Penzance as a partner programme route???
(Or their already hinted Riviera extension to Plymouth)
