Black screen when loading scenarios

Each time I try to load a scenario in TS2015 the screen goes black but the theme music continues to play and nothing happens. The TaskManager says that railworks.exe is not responding. Any suggestions as to what to do would be gratefully received.

I found this sometimes happened only if I had the Steam client opened, whether connected (logged in) to the internet or not?

How long have you waited to see if it eventually loads? I have a very similar issue and after a long wait, it does actually load the scenario.

Well, after 15mins wait I'm in and subsequent scenarios are starting straightaway. Patience was never my strong point - hopefully this isn't going to happen every day.

Well, it seems the problem is still there. However if I go offline there is no problem and scenarios load OK but as soon as I plug in a network cable and go online again the black screen returns and railworks.exe is not responding again.

Research on the forums shows that some people had this issue a year ago when Railworks was updated to TS2014 but I can't see how (or if) it was ever resolved. I suppose I now have a work around but it's not ideal so if there are any other suggestions I would be most grateful.

If you're only seeing this when on-line then check your firewall settings. If Railworks.exe is being blocked from accessing the internet but has been *told* by the Steam client that it can/should be able to, it could lock up when trying to connect.
