Many of the new route editor features are described here.

But it doesn't mention that TS2015 has enhanced the asset browser to give a 3D preview of the assets. In addition to a list of text, you can get a grid of 3D images. It makes it easier to find the right asset in the list.
Something I have been wanting for a long time. THANKS DTG!

Re: TS2015 - New Asset Browser
yep that certainly is a great help as is the other improvements.
The new menu bar to control placement, scale and rotation is a vast improvement over the old fiddly controls. Even using the keyboard is was a nightmare for getting the positioning correct.
Lastly the irregular asset block is probably the best improvement of the lot. I reckon my productivity for placing foliage is now x10 better. The ability to scale and place 2 sets of objects within the block and adjust the boundaries is just brilliant. I have spent 2 years dabbling in a route battling against the route building tools, i would be far further on if i had these tools before.
