DTG 45

Re: DTG 45
Huh, well that's an unexpected bonus, had one of the original packs (but I'm almost sure not from Steam), and wasn't expecting any upgrade, but sure enough, just had a run out of Piccadilly. Engine seems a bit quiet, and there's not a lot to push in the cab, but certainly not complaining. Fair play to DTG, they kop some stick, but I think this some good work - will be interesting to see if they bring any variants out in the marketplace

Re: DTG 45
Incredibly poor release, save your money.
Abysmal sounds (the horn is just laughable), poor textures, iffy colours. etc etc.
Additionally in the first scenario the emergency brakes go on and it states...
Speaking of the Mk2a stock, they have new rail joint sounds...they shouldn't have bothered. Awful.
...and why has the stock got a Ropley (RP) depot code sticker on the ends?
I don't ever recall seeing full size table in first class compartments either.

This is Mk2a stock..surely you mean someone has pulled the emergency cord!!CONDUCTOR: "Seems the football fans have become too over excited. One of the emergency brake buttons has accidently been pushed..."

Re: DTG 45
I had the original off of Steam and was pleasantly surprised to get the upgrade tonight as well. Model looks okay, but if it's supposed to represent the ETH fitted Peaks, then as I recall, the boiler steps would have been plated over. No named Peaks included either, which considering that the original had that option is not great.
Sounds - sorry, but a Peak at full thrash does not sound like that at all...

Re: DTG 45
Hi,
Just bought it from no problems with the down load, had a run with it,must say it seems rather quiet, hardly any engine noise when pulling away, horn hopeless, and roof fan doesn't work, but a least it looks like a Class 45,pity it wasn't one of the named ones though, hopefully there will some named ones and green ones in the market place, but not holding my breath for any soon,I'm still waiting for the promised Castle steam loco's.
The genuine Peaks were the 10 Class 44 loco's which were named after various mountain peaks.

Yes, very pleasant surprise when I started up Steam just now and went investigating to see what had been downloaded, only to find this.

Re: DTG 45
Yes I have it as well. I wonder what the criteria was for getting it. Don't know when mine downloaded but I had a 83.8mb download at 12-01pm. Must of downloaded when I had TS running.
I have another Class 45 and in its folder was a blueprints Pack file dated today. I wonder if steam checked if you had that one which entitled you to a free upgrade.

Was your 'other' Class 45 from the 'original' developer whose name cannot be mentioned? Or was there actually an earlier RSC or Kuju version somewhere?
Cheers.

I think the confusion is arriving around whether you had the website version of 'other developer's or had purchased it through Steam. Which did you have Trev?Trev123 wrote:It wasn't an RSC one.

Why is it dtg don't seem to give a toss at all about the sounds when making a new loco!? For that simple reason alone I won't be wasting a penny on it.woorzel wrote:Sounds - sorry, but a Peak at full thrash does not sound like that at all...

Okay, thanks. Perhaps I should reinstall mine and see what happens.Trev123 wrote:Didn't purchase through Steam.deltic009 wrote:I think the confusion is arriving around whether you had the website version of 'other developer's or had purchased it through Steam. Re: DTG 45
Actually the 45 was a 288mb download. Don't know what the 83.8mb download today was.

Re: DTG 45
I got only the 83.8mb download yesterday and I found the 'new' Peak at my harddrive today. Is a real Peak running in the UK? If so AP will do a good sound pack in the future.
