Indeed Richard, that looks bloomin lovely! Isn't there a brake in the blue gray Mk1's with this route? Can't say I've noticed. :-?
Would be nice if the bogie run sounds for the Mk1's cannot be sorted, the rail joint sounds are fine imo just no rail noise! Perhaps AP can issue a patch from his MK1/2 soundpack? :D

Martin, I believe Richard Armstrong said he couldn't add the whl stock to the Mk 1 soundpack because of the restrictions placed by Thomson on pay ware addons.

It isn't too difficult to add them yourself though, edit each of the rolling stock bin files so the child section for the bogie run sound points to the AP version instead of default.

Hmm, that's a pain, I am hopeless grubbing around in these files, just have to live with it unless some kind soul can do it for me?

Doesn't RWtools have the ability to do this automatically?

I think it does Holz, I will have a look and see if I can do it? Cheers.
Hmm, getting a put detail error when trying to add the sounds after selecting the bogie .bin files? Is that the correct file to change? There are only one set of bogie files in the Blue Grey Mk1 BG none of the other coaches have them.

I edited mine manually last night as I'd forgotten RWTools did that  Does it only modify Kuju folder files though, I'm not sure it works as it seems to reference the AP sound.bin in Kuju. The ones that need patching are filename such as mk1bg.bin, mk1fk.bin etc. If you need any help Martin drop me a PM.

Thanks Steve, seems that even though I have changed the sounds using the files you specify all that has changed is the railjoint sounds? No run sounds? :-?

Browsing images of the line brought my attention to the 'Queen of Scots' luxury charter set (plus it's successor 'The 'Royal Scotsman'). Alas unless my numbers come up, I shall have to resign myself to only virtual travel upon it :( :

You can now get one, amongst other things, via the link below:

Does anyone else drive across Glenfinnan viaduct towards Glenfinnan, look out and wonder where Hogwarts has gone? :D

Actually, no, not me!

Should be done as a Workshop modification of the route....
(But you'd need an extra model for that, perhaps more than one so we can have the flying Ford too, so then you'd have to create that first and get it published on the TS marketplace, then add that to a copy of the route, and publish it to the workshop :P )

I have knocked one up using the Class 27 DLC BSK as the base (apologies as this image appears somewhere already on the forum). I will try and get this sorted during the coming week:

Plus literally just out of the paint shop. There was a plan to convert one for the Mallaig line (6301/54218), but it ended up being shelved. Just one beauty of our dear hobby I suppose is the ability to 'unshelve' such ideas:

Regards,

I was hoping to pick up the route in the current sales and grab these Mk1 repaints, however I notice that instead of the class 27 pack as a requirement, it now needs the class 57 railtour pack. I have no interest in purchasing the 57 pack, so was wondering how easy is it to transfer the repaint to the BSK in the class 27 pack or the Falmouth pack (which I already own)?
