Thompson interactive. WHR coming soon

Re: Thompson interactive. WHR coming soon
The 37 sounds fantastic out of the box and FINALLY we have exhaust smoke that behaves inline with the engines behaviour. I'll also be watching the ammeter very closely for seeing how the simulation of it works versus RSCs diesel electric locos, which I have found a little odd.

Re: Thompson interactive. WHR coming soon
Keith has just posted on Facebook announcing the release date for this will be next Thursday (2nd October). I've got to admit I'm really looking forward to getting this!

It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into this whole package. I was particularly pleased to read this bit
The Driver Vigilence Device is automatically paused when viewing the train externally......

IIRC one of the 57s does that too, the best way IMHOdeltic009 wrote:It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into this whole package. I was particularly pleased to read this bitThe Driver Vigilence Device is automatically paused when viewing the train externally......

I'm leaving Mince Pies and Whisky out on Wednesday night for Santa Ross and Santa Thompson. This is like the best Christmas ever. Got a nice new 34 inch super wide monitor to play it on too!

I assume it means that it is inactive when in external view so that you do not have to keep jumping back into the cab to prevent emergency braking.
Re: Thompson interactive. WHR coming soon
Whenever this route was suggested for TS I always had the opinion that the game engine couldn't do it justice. I have to eat my words on that one as this route looks stunning! And the functionality of the Class 37 sounds excellent. It's a shame the ScotRail versions of the Class 156 never materialised but maybe after their involvement with this project Oovee will be spurred to update their 156 with RETB and release a ScotRail version.
Kudos to Keith Ross though. Once again demonstrating mastery of the editor. How many hundreds of route miles has he modelled in exquisite detail now!?

Re: Thompson interactive. WHR coming soon
As someone who spent my early childhood growing up right next to the WHL in the 1980's, I've been waiting since 2007 and the first release of Rail Simulator for this route to arrive. Complete with a fleet of advanced Mc37's this will be heaven and I don't think I'll ever drive another route again.
The only thing that could have made this better was if it was Glasgow to Fort William (personal preference) but nonetheless, this will be epic.

Agreed. I will never forget my first trip out of Queen Street and onto the WHL as a spotty teenager behind a pair of McTractors. Now I'm just a spotty 40 something!

Re: Thompson interactive. WHR coming soon
Stupid question, but is this going to be available through Steam or some other way?
