Old Hitachi IEP/Super Express Concept (included with TS2012)

Post by Ajay1 »

Where does one find this? I'm sure I had this, and have driven it at some stage on my system.(or am I thinking of something else similar?) Having gone up through the upgrades from the old RailWorks it should be there but I can't find it. What folder should it have resided in? Could it have been removed from my computer somehow by Steam ? The reason I ask is that I was just checking what trains I have that will get upgraded when TS2015 comes and the Old Hitachi IEP/Super Express Concept (included with TS2012) is one of them.

RSC removed it but it will be included in the TS2015 update next month.

What Route and scenarios are those? Just searched steam and the SEC Pack is no longer listed, Also searched through my TS2012 assets and there was a SE folder within Assets/RSC/SECPack/Railvehicles/Electric as well as the SEC folder which is not in my TS2014 set. Its also not even showing on my Steam account Licenses and Subscriptions.

Hi Antony,

I also cannot see the SEC listed in my DLC. However, the actual SEC does exist under Assets/RSC/SEC. This directory still has all the required model files in it. I can find the loco by going into the Standard Scenarios selection screen and then selecting the loco from the 'Drive by Train' selection list, where it does appear.

I have a scenario for it on the 'Test Trak', 2 on 'Newcastle to York Modern' plus 2 on 'WCML North'.

I have had RailWorks since the very early days, so I'm not quite sure just when or where the SEC appeared.

Cheers,
Trevor

The Hitachi SEC was only ever available as a default train - that is, as part of RW/TS itself ...

I have just given the SEC a blast along WCML North. The model looks and works OK. It has Lights, Tilt Function and the BIN files contain the 'WiperPairs' section which suggests this was actually issued as part of the TS2012 update, although I'll be damned if I can remember.

In any event, my copy of the SEC has certainly not been 'removed'.

Cheers.

Only ever had scenarios for Test Track as far as i know.

I know i have two up, one being for Totham (No idea if works correctly still) Also one with the WCML N Scenario pack, which many from here contributed towards.
(Which both of those, will see if can be updated with the new one, when it is out)

Chris
Rising Storm -Name is in the credits :D - To Do scenario, where you go along at 50mph in a Pendo? Who would play it?
Anyone want to help in Play Testing future Rising Storm/ Ro2 Maps? If so please PM me.

Yes, I have found the folders for it where it should be with all the files inside them intact. Its now just that I can't find it showing in either Quick Drive or the Drive by Train selection screen. Being a Default train from the TS2012 package would probably explain why I could not find any listing of it on my Steam Account licenses and subscription page. Puzzling!!!

Hi,

Just has a look and I see I have the 'Test Track' but not the Hitachi? Checked the DLC I have under the Steam list and not listed there either, I used to have it like others have said but it's now AWOL.

I don't think every RSC item is Quick Drive enabled.
I got the SEC unit with Railworks 3/TS2012 which was my first go on this system after Trainz

Have just checked, rechecked, and double checked.Apart from having the folder for it in RSC/SECPack complete with contents it def does not show in Collection Menu, Quick Drive, or in the Drive by Train Menu once Free Roam is selected. I guess will just have to wait until the update and hopefully it will then be returned to service and updated as well.
