That could be it, I don't have that particular one installed. Where does one find it so that it can be installed ?

It comes with the Settle and Carlisle route addon. Can you not just use RW tools to switch it out.

I have the SettleCarlisle route and the class 158 installed but not the NR repaint which would reside there.

Antony.
The S&C 158 is in Northern livery (albeit minus branding) by 'default',

Regards,

Do you mean that the default model that's installed with the route is in the Northern livery ?If that's the case then, what is the game looking for in the scenario " UKTS 33243 A varied Vista of Vinyl " when it states Cannot load NR Class 158 MSL , it must be looking for one somewhere else ?

I think it is looking for the original 158 pack as that has NR Class 158 MSL...

It is looking for the S9BL version of the 158 which is as Fundee says was the 1st version. So it will be somewhere like this C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\S9BL\Class158Pack\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class158\NR

It's also looking for various reskins of the NR livery featuring the vinyl overlays of places of interest......the scenario name is a wee hint.
Regardless of whatever base model is used, if you don't have the reskins then you'll see the report that an NR liveried item is missing; obviously the name/descriptive field of the stock's .bin hasn't been edited to denote it's new frock.

I thought the vinyls were 156's not 158's. But the readme says where you can get the 156's repaints and it is pretty clear about the version of the 158 used S9BL.

For anyone having problems with the NR 158, please accept our apologies, the NR bin file is looking for a reskin from these other Class 158 reskins at
http://www.dpsimulation.org.uk/reskins.html.
The description has been amended as a temporary measure, however we will replace the download shortly to a version referencing the default NR in the Class 158 folder.
Sorry!
