We really need the Sydney to Woy Woy route ... An absolute beautiful run with the best fish restaurant at the end - not that I'm biased or anything  You could even get away with a repaint of the class 43s as a bit of extra stock to fill in..

Fingers crossed for eventual route down under. I have all the other stock apart from repaints for the Dutch route so I appreciate how good Chris' stuff is.

Gosford would be the better route destination than Woy Woy (terminus for many trains, stabling sidings, steam facilities for 3801 tours etc) but I thing Wyong or even Newcastle would be even better options.

Unless?!
Best bit of DLC ever released. Thank you Chris.

Why? because its a train I can see in my own country. What better reason is there
And , depending on Local Body politics, MIGHT even see going past my back fence.

As there is a standard gauge bogy change possible, it could be used anywhere in TS.... there is standard gauge track so the rest of the world can enjoy. :D :D :D :D

You're welcome.
I debated just putting the NZ gauge version out but then I thought the only emails I'd see for weeks were "the wheels are too narrow". So I put the standard gauge one in there to try to address that. Sure it's not technically correct but like you said, we can now use it everywhere.

I have no problem looking at future NZ projects - someone's already asked me to do the ADK - I can't do much for routes other than free scenery items like I do for the Dutch, but trains ought not to be a problem (other than finding the time  )

MMM Syd to Newcastle would be the icing on the cake.. freight every 15mins - sub trains and intercity and some of the most beautiful waterside track ever.. I'm still getting off at Woy Woy for lunch though :) there's a lobster with my name on it.

Antony,

You commented that:
all New Zealanders ... are ... coming out of the woodwork
Surely you're not implying that all New Zealanders are boring insects?

Kind regards,

The Local Body politics have decided that $10 million is to high a price to pay for commuter rail to the north of Christchurch NZ . The plan under investigation was to bring the redundant diesel trains from Auckland down to Christchurch. Car pooling and bus lanes are to be promoted instead.
They have been on about car pooling since the 1980's , how much more proof of failure as a transport solution do they need. And as for bus lanes on a two lane highway...... The millions of $'s will just disappear.

So sadly I will not be seeing this particular DLC going past my back fence in my life time.
