Do we have these wagons in MSTS?

Post by NiallGray »

Freight has never been one of my strong points, but I'd like to know if we have the wagons in these pics available in MSTS?

They go to Prestwick Airport, so I would assume they are for fuel.

Edit: Can a mod please edit down the size of the second pic, I'm not sure how to.

Thanks Mike. Looks like they are the only options, but would need re-skins before I could use them in a modern setting.

Not sure if I'd get permissions in either case... not that I've even looked at the possibility of re-skinning them.

Thanks Ian.

My re-skinning skills are not up to much, but I might give it a go when time permits. Just looking for an excuse to run Steve Enefer's Cola 56s on my route.

Here's the wagon in green to save you work.
It's all the labels that are the hard bit.

I have found another photo of these tanks, with a closer view of the labels on the tanker side, in the following link:

A little bit off topic, but on the subject of your route Niall, have you included any oil or chemical sidings in your route extensions to Glasgow to Carlisle?

No. The only new sidings in the route are either disused, permanent way (Shettleston) or container (Elderslie).

Hi Simon.

Good to see you post in here.

Sadly it's too dated. The BP contract ended in 2010 so don't fit the time period as the Colas 56s are only recent.

Someone has PM'd to say they are having a go at the textures, so I'll wait and see if anything comes of it.

Would be nice to have something other than 66s running around in modern acts, especially with the short extension along the Ayr line.

Hi Niall,
I know it's not freight but how about the Northern Pullman, that's usually headed by a Cl 47 in Pullman Livery.

I'm interested in 56s, Mike, as they are rare on the route and I wanted to make use of Steve's 56s, which I think he did a great job of.

If I was going to do a Pullman, I'd do the Royal Scotsman as I see it often at Wemyss Bay, but again stock would be needed. (There's never been a custom observation car in MSTS, only a re-skinned coach).
