Still using horrid/original RS KUJU assets, very few custom assets, just the bare minimum. A big nope from me then.

This is a weird one...RobertM wrote:Still using horrid/original RS KUJU assets, very few custom assets, just the bare minimum. A big nope from me then.
This JT version is actually just the freeware version of the North Norfolk that was available last year.... but it's had all the nice colourful 'Creative Rail' assets/dependencies removed and replaced with old Kuju assets
There does seem to be a handful of new custom assets... such as the coach sheds, a signal box (maybe), the windmill, and possibly the Golf club...
...but overall, looking at the released pictures, and comparing each shot to my actual freeware version... i would say there is significantly less detail (and colour) in this 'premium' version of the route
Why couldn't the steam loco sit down? - Because he had a tender behind.

Hi,
Looks like the loco's are Black5's which is a shame,I would have thought they would have some North Norfolk Railway loco's,see as it is supposed to be made in conjunction with the North Norfolk Railway.
Loco's they could have made for the route J15,or a BR Std 4MT 2-6-0 which were widely seen on the M&GNR routes, and both of them are in service.
I think price will also play a major part as to whether I buy it or not,the route is only 5 miles long
Mike

I don't understand the appeal of a preserved railway in this game.
The routes are nice, Great Central, Mid Hants and the West Somerset are good routes but Slow with a maximum speed of 25 mph.
Single Line, so not quite as easy scenario wise but limited operating potential.
Most scenarios are an A to B run with AI Trains adding to the interest as you go thru the journey but the runs on a Preserved Line are short with not much to do.

Personal choice. For me its nice as you can enjoy the landscape, rather than racing through at 100mph+ and missing it all.

I was thinking of getting this route but I've changed my mind as there are enough negative comments about it already to put me off. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it here in the first place.jimmychoo wrote:Just trains have some screenshots on their website - looks good!
