LMS Black 5 reskins

Post by SVRSam »

Hi everyone

I was thinking about making an LMS era scenario for the port road and was going through the available LMS liveried locos, The Jubilee, 8F, 4F, Jinty etc all have LMS liveries available in the base pack, or in the case of the 8F, from reskins from people like SSS. But I could not find an LMS liveried Black 5 ANYWHERE which struck me as a really odd ommission. Does anyone know where I can find one ? If not I might have a go myself !

Cheers, Sam

Brian (briyeo1950) was showing off some amazing looking LMS reskins about a year or more ago... but sadly i don't think they've ever been released to the public
Why couldn't the steam loco sit down? - Because he had a tender behind.

Took some hunting, but found them..

Here: http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 0#p1570890

And some more: http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... s#p1581669

Would love an update from Brian on whether these are likely to see public release (or if they did get released, where are they and how did i miss them) :)

Brian replied, says he does still have them. But he has too much work on at the moment with a number of projects. He did mention he'd like to get back into reskins :D

That's a real shame, because from what i could tell, they are all but finished... and that was nearly 2 years ago

Just a heads up:

My reskin of LMS 5000 has been uploaded, will be avaliable here:

Invalid File ID [33100]

It's only a basic representation, but this old engine deserved at least one public LMS Livery.

Will go allright with Bishop Auckland to Darlington route, parked at Shildon.

Hi,
It will be ideal for Western Lines of Scotland, there is a real lack of steam loco's for all regions, and the grouping era as well,LNER|BR A1\2,LMS BR Patriots\Royal Scot SR\BR Schools\Lord Nelson,GWR\BR County\Grange,let alone the mudane loco's seen every where on freight trains.

Wow, looking good darkdj, thanks for uploading that ! :D

I'm glad I asked about it now as that has probably saved me a lot of time and disappointment trying to make my own ! ;)

Thanks everyone for your input.

Mike, Patriots and Counties are available from JT, Schools from Steam loco collection along with U class, a lot of LNER and LMS locos are available from DT as well. Then on steam you have a few "mundane" fully featured pre nationalisation loco's as well. There are a handful of freeware loco's in the library as well. There are even coaches from making tracks and matrix, but probably the biggest shortcoming is wagons. A super D is on the way from Meshtools as well.
