Private industry liveries for class 08
Hello all I'm on the look out for a private owner livery for either the RSDL 08 or the EWS 08 for use in sidings and yards,I know you could create a HNRC livery for modern times but does anyone have an idea for more of a historic livery I'm trying to stay away from anything too locally specific just a sort of general industrial blatantly not a BR shunter,to use in a variety of areas, hope that makes sense

The Potter Group 08s may be what you're looking for?

They've been like that for a while too...

Yep thats the sort of thing i was thinking off espically 202 being an ex Newport shunter, it was just a livery that said such & such steel works or chemical works and not say Sandbach etc so it COULD be used on a variety of places

I believe that for a while, Guinness (The Brown Stuff) had at there Park Royal centre in West London two 08`s in their own livery for quite some time.

Re: Private industry liveries for class 08
Well the NCB livery is very nice indeed but the main thing as industrial livery is loads of grime they always seamed to be very unkempt well most of them anyway, after I left school my first jobs route to work was literary through the Newport coal concentration depot and their 03 was always hyper clean odd considering it was sitting in coal dust all the time

They both still exist in that livery I believe. They are based on this line:kennyb wrote:I believe that for a while, Guinness (The Brown Stuff) had at there Park Royal centre in West London two 08`s in their own livery for quite some time.

I'm pretty sure I saw a class 08 in the sidings at York in 2012 still wearing its black and lion livery.
