The only engine I get this bug on is the WLOS Black 5 with SSS sounds on. no others.
Any other locos you have that its doing it on?

I cant see why its doing it but as its only this loco on my install Id not go as far as to say its a "core" bug
Any other locos you have that its doing it on?
Dave

As in my post on the previous page, this is the first time I've come across this,as I've not had it happen with any other Loco or scenario that I have.

Unbelievable that they didn't fix this in their supposed core "bug busting" update the other month

I think in this case its the Sometimes nothing will work!!!! as I've tried restarting the scenario and get the same.

Hmm, my apologies to firstborn, after not getting the error on any loco except the WLOS black 5, I can now get it without fail on every steam loco.
Core issue it would seem to be. Highly odd one though

That's very strange, I have already played this scenario and the player loco isn't attached, mind you though I did swap out the manor for the hall since I do not have the former, but surely that would not make any difference..

Further to my earlier post regarding carriage shadows on WSR stock, the shadow seems to be bogies and a tiny bit of frame for most of the mk1s when up close, but when the shadow must change to an LOD mesh as the vehicle gets further from the view it is then fixed and you get a full shadow.

Daft Wally says...

Firstly, my thanks to SSS for what promises to be an excellent FREE route. It's much appreciated.

Secondly, can anyone suggest sources for the following? (...which RW_Tools tells me are missing after installing version 2.1 of the route...)

DT'\...\5101class\5101GCR4141USED\...
JustTrains\GWR_Manor\...\SSS7821\...
JustTrains\...\jt_mk1_bso_brown_CCE.bin
JustTrains\...\jt_mk1_tso_brown_CCE.bin
kngtrains\...\gwr2251_br\...\7821_br_tender.bin

67016\...\lc_wsr.bin
JustTrains\...\WSR Open Level Crossing.bin

I've seen one post that commented on bits of LCs being absent, but no-one else seems to have any stock deficiencies. (And, yes, I did uninstall version 2 as instructed before installing 2.1.)

Kind regards,

I've had similar problems John, such as an baffling failure to recognise Just Trains stock that is already installed on my system.

Also, the inability to uncouple stock attached to the tender also affects loco 9351, which comes with the new release of this route. This problem fatally breaks at least two of the included scenarios. The Manor class locos that you're missing can be obtained from the Steam Sounds Supreme site. However, I'm reluctantly giving up on this route, however good the terrain and scenery may now be, until an update fixing these fundamental problems is made available.

Also, without wishing to sound ungrateful or churlish in any way, if you're going to re-do the WSR to address important inaccuracies and omissions with the RSC/DTG route, I'd have thought that including some of the most iconic landmark features of the real route, such as Dunster Castle, Washford telecommunications aerials, Minehead Sewage treatment works, Bishops Lydeard church, etc might be near the top of the to-do list!

The scenarios that were included with v1 of the Members' Edition can be moved over to v2 but they require quite a bit of serious tweaking before they'll work.

The steam loco uncoupling bug has been with us since the advent of TS2014, though does not affect all locos. You can still uncouple the tender from it's stock by clicking directly on the coupling in game.
Like others I still have some stock whch RW Tools reports as missing.

No, you cannot - that does not work with the scenarios in this route, as there is no visible coupling to click on...

I think Mark could had chosen his words better perhaps, he means clicking on the physical coupling in the 3denvironment when the mouse icon changes - this however has caused a force close for some reason so I save before any uncoupling steam locos.

Having tried many times with the new WSR v2 scenarios, I can confirm that clicking on the physical couplings in the 3D environment does not work - there is no changed icon on which to click.

Okay, I have only dipped my toe thus far but hope to investigate more after work.

I don't tend to play TS anymore. But i've always been curious of the WSR because I like the idea of driving a steam loco on a preserved railway, especially ones as detailed as the Jinty. With this update and the Steam sales i'm wondering if I should take the plunge.

Is there any shots of the members edition.. or/and before and after shots?

I suppose if I took the plunge i'd end up having to get the WSR diesels pack too.
