Seeing this thread made me check. I had downloaded and installed the new members version but hadn't uninstalled the original. Just checked in RW Tools and find I have listed:

West Somerset Railway with what looks like the original scenarios
and
West Somerset Railway Version 3 with just 2 7F scenarios.

Should I uninstall both of these and reinstall the new version?
Asus Z97-K. Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4 GHz. 3GB NVidia EVGA GTX780Ti. 16GB DDR3 RAM. Sound Blaster Z. Windows 10 64 bit.
2x960GB SSDs, 3x2TB internal HDDs and 2x1TB & 1x2TB external HDDs.
Running TS @ 3840x2160 on a 4k TV.

Hi Dave,

No. The West Somerset Railway is the RSC version, which is a mandatory requirement for the West Somerset Railway Members Edition V2.

The West Somerset Railway Version 3 is actually an older freeware version of this same route that is separate from all the others. This can exist alongside of the West Somerset Railway Members Edition V2.

The only route you would need to remove first would be the original West Somerset Railway Members Edition from the Steam Workshop. The new V2 version will not install properly over the original Workshop version of the route.

Cheers.

Love the new cuttings near Stogumber and Washford. Shame on RSC for missing these out. There is something magical about a train running through a deep, narrow cutting. I think it stems from a childhood watching Mc37's tearing through the dense cuttings of the southern West Higland Line.

Has anyone worked out what v2.1 is all about? I've got v2 up and running fine and I'm reluctant to mess with the install if there is no significant improvement.

I've just had word from Matt, and here's what he had to say : quote "I advise you to install it, to make sure you're up to date. You'll need to uninstall version 2 first using your control panel. Then install 2.1. The route will still be named version 2. The main changes are to do with the installation process. One or 2 missing files have been added as well." end quote .

Hope this helps.

I realise this is an updated version by the readme. But why does the East Somerset Railway from UKTS have to be installed.
It says about the East Somerset.
"You will need the ECMLS, WSR, Doncaster Works & Isle of Wight routes from Steam to run this route, aswell as some freeware assets from UKTS "

This seems a lot of stuff to get the "West Somerset Members Edition v2" to be able to run, and I don't have Doncaster Works .

Sorry I can't shed light on others troubles. I didn't ever subscribe to the workshop route. Installed and it all works fine. I don't have East Somerset Revisited yet and seem to be missing bits of every crossing. Also, I can post a screenie tomorrow, but just did a Quick drive of 9351 and 6 mk1s and I noticed the rearmost coach didn't have a full shadow, only looked like bogies and perhaps a central pillar - all others are fine.

In the first scenario entitled A Foggy Evening, I am unable to uncouple the Engine and Tender from the Coach so that I may move forward to runaround to the back of the train to reconnect . In the HUD screen it is dark greyed out,and when you try moving the pointer over on to the couplings to disconnect(on the actual train) ,nothing happens also. Anyone please ?

This is a frankly annoying core game bug introduced in TS2014... You can't disconnect what ever is attached to a steam loco's tender.... The HUD uncoupling tool never works.... The best bet is normally the coupling camera view, sometimes you need to zoom in OR out a touch to make the cursor change to the correct context... sometimes nothing will work.... in which case... sometimes reloading the scenario works

Unbelievable that they didn't fix this in their supposed core "bug busting" update the other month
Why couldn't the steam loco sit down? - Because he had a tender behind.

I think in this case its the Sometimes nothing will work!!!! as I've tried restarting the scenario and get the same.
