First off, make sure you are looking at the right website:JamesC wrote:How to you become a member to download this route? I've looked through that website and there is nothing telling you how to become a member

Below the announcement regarding the route, it says: GET IT NOW from Free Products > Routes. Click on the end bit and it will take you to a second page,
where below the scrrenshots is a 'BUY NOW' tab. Click on this (it is free) and then enter your name and email.
Hope this helps,
Richard

Looking forward to trying this out thanks guys.
Lucky there's a Steam sale on as I got the WSR for a knock-down deal!

Re: West Somerset Railway Members Edition V2 OUT NOW!!
There were 4 scenario packs on UKTS for this version 1 but looks like they have been removed.
Does anyone know why?
Do they not work? Is someone updating them to suit v2?
Cheers

Hello.
One question (maybe something silly)
:
Is it necessary to own the DTG's original West Somerset Railway route?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, Yes it is. The installer does a check before installing and advises what is missing.

Re: West Somerset Railway Members Edition V2 OUT NOW!!
When I run v2.1 through RW_Tools, in addition to the files "hidden" in the RSC\West Somerset .ap file, it tells me I'm missing:
Assets\67016\WestSomersetRailway\RailNetwork\LevelCrossing\lc_wsr.bin
Assets\JustTrains\Bristol_Exeter_1\RailNetwork\LevelCrossings\WSR Open Level Crossing.bin
In 67016\WestSomersetRailway\RailNetwork\LevelCrossing I have lc_wsr1.bin and lc_wsr2.bin but not lc_wsr.bin
I have Just Trains Bristol to Exeter route but there's no sign of WSR Open Level Crossing.bin, in fact I don't have that file anywhere in my Assets folder.
Any clues?

Don't worry about those bits. It's one of those delightful TS mysteries why the game is still asking for those when they were most definitely removed from the route!

Re: West Somerset Railway Members Edition V2 OUT NOW!!
OK, having manually deleted the Workshop version of WSR Members Edition V1, I installed the newer V2.1 from SSS. However, how can I verify absolutely that the newer version has been applied? The Route Information screen still show V1 with the original description by David Seward. No mention of the SSS enhanced version. The Route Name on the selection menus says V2, but nowhere else.
Is there something obvious in-game that I can look for to verify just which version this is?
Additionally, I now have a completely 'blank' dark grey line amongst my list of Workshop subscriptions in-game. Presumably this is where the WSR Members Edition entry used to be, and TS2014 is expecting something to be there. One hopes that this 'missing' entry won't cause TS2014 any grief in trying to manage my subscriptions in the future.
Thanks.

In RWTools when checking Routes & scenarios,If installed correctly which I'm sure it is, You should have it listed as West Somerset Members Edition V2 and 4 scenarios and 2 QD ones listed only, Also when in game you should have the new WSR 9351 Loco there ready waiting for you.I'm sure you'll notice the vast improvement of scenery (if you can remember roughly what the old looked like) that should help to check which is installed. My Workshop Subscription screen looks like the pict below after my manual uninstall of V1.
