Large Steam update??

Just switched on TS2014 after a few days and have had a major upload from steam, anybody any ideas what it is for???
Cant find anything on steam about it??

"Update Required", Steam tells me, but it doesn't want to download that update....

No update to Riviera line, and no Munich to Garmisch Partenkirchen for me until it finally comes through!

Anybody else having problems with Steam updates??

Edit: found out that it was not a Steam problem, but too low on diskspace

There has been an update to The Riviera Line adding the 'Teignmouth' sign at Spey Point and addressing the loading problems at Exeter and Paignton.

More importantly DTG are advising on their Facebook page that there will be a significant general update to TS2014 on Monday 19th May and they advise users to back up files of 3rd part assets.

Regarding the Riviera line update, that installs itself if you are online. As for backing up ready for Monday, being an old fuddy duddy myself, don't ask me!

The easiest way if you don't have an up to date system backup (which would contain all your assets), would be to make a copy of your railworks folder to a separate location on your PC if you have the disk space. If not, you could make a copy of your railworks folder onto an external drive.

Just the Railworks folder?I have plenty of HD room.

Yep, just the railworks folder will be fine.

You could actually get away with just the assets folder, but it is better to have a backup copy of your entire railworks folder anyway.

You could call it railworksbackup or whatever you like, though if it is in a different location that wouldn't matter.

Despite the quite large update I have received I dont appear to have the Teignmouth sign, does anybody actually have this sign showing

If we back up the Railworks folder, isn't it possible (likely) that the new Steam update will change data in that folder. Therefore we would have to know which specific bits of data we would then need to copy back from our backup after the update???

I can't see why RSC advise you to back up your 3rd party assets etc because Steam will not alter them, Steam only alters (or should only alter) items which you originally downloaded from Steam itself.

If your 3rd party routes or assets will not work under the new version of TS2014, then the back ups won't work either will they?
