If you have a legit copy then you should already have both items you're asking for, if they've been lost / corrupted then you can always check the integrity of the local files to reacquire them. That's if you've got a legit copy.

Not sure if passing on that scenario would be legal. Anyway you are missing absolutely nothing. You will probably find it under tutorials, but again you dont need it. E to go up the gears shift and e to go down 10mph 1st 20 2nd 30 3rd etc is all you need to know really

I have the later Strathclyde and BR Class 101 packs and there is an introduction tutorial with both of those (probably the same one). If you really need the scenario that badly, you could buy either of those. There are rumours of a Steam 'Easter Sale' soon... It's not that difficult to drive the Class 101 (as someone already pointed out). To make it at least sound bit more realistic, you should let the revs drop between gear shifts otherwise the engine tone will change very abruptly. I don't think this aspect of the Class 101 is simulated very well as the revs take forever to drop and you end up losing lots of momentum on climbs- that's if you want your gear shifts to sound smooth. Wish someone would update the Class 101 soundpack - the current sounds don't sound much like I remember these units when I used to ride them out of Springburn/Glasgow. No gearbox whine, no rasping exhaust. Still, I love driving them in TS2014!
