Despite not being a fan of freight driving I have brought this because as a scenario builder if the timetable says it's a 92 I can now use a 92 instead of a 66. And because of the wagons that come with it. I have never driven a train so I would not know what was right or wrong with one in game unless it took off faster than concorde and stopped on a dime something I know trains tend not to do. Ok the sounds are not so great but we're all use to that and we know AP will more than likely sort that out.

At the end of the day it's a consumer product that people pay money for! Seems to me the very people that are getting overexcited are those that are critical of people being critical which it seems is more their game/hobby than TS.

I would never criticise anyone voicing their opinion over some matter that they are not happy about.

But I see no valid reason to keep going over and over it again and again. If you are unhappy about something, then by all means make your point and then move on. And don't forget to contact the vendor and let them know.

I made the comment in the hope that the 'discussion' doesn't go over the top as it often does, so the thread would stay open so I can see more comment from a few others who have bought the product and make my own personal judgment on whether to buy the Class 92 or not. Just like I did with the class 91 after that thread was reopened after it was locked after all the slinging that went on there.

I'd made my point and was merely responding to people that had quoted me. I wasn't bringing anything back up. I'll ignore the comments of the fanboys in the future and I've already informed DTG. Don't expect anything to happen though.

I honestly do not know as I have not acquired the loco yet. As I said above I will buy the loco and make my own mind up - if the 92 turns out to be the biggest pile of poo since we all walked out of the sea then I will still have the Megafret wagons to run behind over stuff.

And if trying to remain positive about something makes me a 'fanboy' then I'll take that one on the chin.

Reading all these comments, and on the 91 thread as well, just makes be rather upset. How many times are DTG/RSC going to release products which clearly shows they either don't know much about trains, or there tester and coder has no clue what is going on... It's not the first time, as there has been many such models where we think this is unbelievable that it's passed the beta testers and made it to public release. Now, I know we can't compare DTG/RSC to AP/Waggonz, but they can at least try to do things right, and make it believable. I'm glad I haven't purchased these 2 units, because in the end, you'll spend about 17quid on the unit because you'd have to buy a sound pack from AP when it comes out. And then you're still faces with errors that are quite easily fixed, and can even be done in a day, if they just listened to folk more experienced...

A very valid comment indeed. I would certainly buy the package again. Apart from the negatives there are lots of good points to be said. The graphic model is extremely accurate and the Cab / Divers Desk is well presented. The potential for operating on other routes in different modes offers a lot of potential to Scenario/Activity builders. I am pretty certain that improvements will be forthcoming once the Developers act on the feedback.
Incidentally the latest Class 92 operational update (ETS voltage reduced) now allows these Locos to supply ETS to Uk Coaching stock. Anyone up for making a few Charters with MK 3 stock?????

I certainly would be up for doing some 92 Charters. Although would love to see some Nightstar Stock. Although never used in the UK. Would give some interesting What if Scenarios.

Just tried the first scenario(not the tutorial ones) and upon starting and moving out onto the main line I'm getting the dump file save error and then the game freezers, ran it a few times now and and it keeps happening at exactly the same location every time.Is it happening to anyone else, and any suggestions as to what could be causing this?

If Nightstar stock is ever built. It would be with the modifications that was done to the rolling stock. Sadly though, would mean two different versions of the coaching stock though.
