S160 coming to a simulator near you!!

Post by kirkheath »

Our good friends and steam purveyours over at SSS have just announced they will be publishing a pack of the USATC based on the preserved examples. How awesome is that? I love this class for their sheer brutal power, bark and looks

I was fortunate enough to experience seeing one of this class of loco's in real life some years ago at a GCR Gala, once seen and heard (what a chime whistle) never forgotten.

Really looking forward to seeing this in TS2014.

Hi 5820 Big Jim is back in service at the Worth Valley in fact it is at there gala this Friday Saturday and Sunday the team at Haworth have done a really good job on it,it looks brand new.i wouldn't be surprised if Steam Sounds S will be there,if you want to see it now just go on You tube.34092 City of wells is next back in traffic, one of my favorite loco,s especially on the main line back in the 80's

Steam sounds by the way are leading the way at the moment

I shall be seeing her this weekend at the gala myself be nice see the WD too. I know Matt has been the CVR a couple of times so a sneaky suspicion tells me he may have the sounds already :D

Hi
I saw Big Jim at there October Gala i prefer it's correct livery in USA form it also made a brief appearence in the Film Yanks which was shown over Christmas.i was 8 i think when me and my late Father saw it being filmed down at Keighley at the old goods sidings. They were cheap to build, were they designed by Riddles who designed the Br Standards, when you see it you will realise how basic a steam loco is,look foward to purchasing it from you especially with that great whistle it has,it will be great over your new stainmore line.
