Has anyone tried a quick drive using the DVT, I have tried it twice now on the Kings Cross- Peterborough and on both occasions have got an "unknown error"?

It works OK here. Are you able to choose a different route to try it on?

Yes I tried it on the WCML-N and it worked perfectly, so now I am even more puzzled!

Shame.

I've been exchanging emails with DT regarding an update to disable the Driver Vigilance Device, today I've been sent this -

"Most items available for TS 2014 concentrate the focus on the driver interaction taking place inside the cab, while contracting on driving locomotive, hence the previously highlighted emphasis on 'Engine Driver' and 'Being the Driver' it appears that you are asking for a solution to a deliberately made, major feature of TS 2014".

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but are they saying they won't be updating the Class 91 add on with a feature like they have in the Class 92 and Class 319? If this is the case, then I'm very disappointed. Has anyone been able to figure out how to add this feature themselves?

Maybe ask DTG why you can disable the DSD in the 92 & 319 and not in the 91?

I'm a bit confused by your post. Do you mean to say that you have been in contact with DT - Digital Traction about this feature, or are you shortening the abbreviation of DTG - Dove Tail Games?

Dovetail Games - DG, don't know where people have come up with this DTG business.

A bit like asking where RSC came from. That took me a while, forgetting the .com.
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

Their own logo, I presume...

Besides the convention that has been adopted in the vast majority of posts in this forum is to use DTG when referring to Dovetail Games, starting to use other abbreviations is likely to cause confusion.

DTG , yes I agree that is the convention to prevent confusion, but surely we should be discussing the real question i.e. why the Vigilance device cannot be disabled on the 91 whilst it can on almost everything else ( or be selectively made to sound outside the cab like Just trains do) ? I would like DTG to give a proper answer on this.

So we don't grow old waiting for that , has anyone any idea how to do it themselves ?

I've been waiting for a way to switch off the DSD, I was under the impression that DTG were going to patch in a way to disable it, that was some time ago....

I can't see a way to do it without editing the script and until someone finds a decompiler for the .out file file format that DTG now use editing appears to be out of the end users' reach.
