Maybe not the FL9.749006 wrote:That might mean an FL9![]()

I saw the Picture as the game was loading and it's the New York Penn to New Haven stretch - so basically an extension to the NEC Route.

Re: NEC: New York - New Haven
I'm guessing its just the NEC from Penn station. That limits the options a bit as most of the trains on the line are the Metro North locals that start from Grand Central.
The view from Hells Gate bridge could be pretty good if done properly though.

Re: NEC: New York - New Haven
Hopefully we'll get some Metro-North stuff then, not just Amtrak... it looks a bit boring running the NEC route and seeing only Amtrak (given that this part of the NEC in the real-world also sees NY Transit).
I'm not fat - I'm easy to see

On the loading screen image, there is an inset image In the top right hand corner.matthews wrote:I'm guessing its just the NEC from Penn station.
Is that not GCT?

No, that is the Penn Station. I'm saying this because you can clearly see the empire state building in the background.DaveDewhurst wrote:749006 wrote:I saw the Picture as the game was loading and it's the New York Penn to New Haven stretch - so basically an extension to the NEC Route. On the loading screen image, there is an inset image In the top right hand corner.matthews wrote:I'm guessing its just the NEC from Penn station.

Some more shots have been posted on Facebook:

One of those shots looks a lot like Harlem station, so hopefully we'll be getting both Grand Central and NY Penn.

Number 15? I think youre right. Brilliant. Don't envy anyone building Grand Centrals track layout.tomtrain wrote:Some more shots have been posted on Facebook:

The hardest part will be scenarios at GCT.matthews wrote:Number 15? I think youre right. Brilliant. Don't envy anyone building Grand Centrals track layout.tomtrain wrote:Some more shots have been posted on Facebook:

With it being underground you will only have Cab View in the station and placing stock will not be easy.
But it's nice they are extending the line towards GCT and we may get an FL9

Re: NEC: New York - New Haven
The inclusion of GCT really opens up the rolling stock potential for this route. M2/4/6/8s, P32s, FL9s, HHP-8s, AEM-7s, ASC-64s, the list is endless.749006 wrote:The hardest part will be scenarios at GCT.

Looks like we'll be well covered for freight services along the line too:

The route will include the ACS-64 locomotive.

Re: NEC: New York - New Haven
Great news, hope they'll include a Metro-North unit though. Would be a shame to have the line to Grand Central modelled and nothing to run on it.Juanillo99 wrote:New article in Engine Driver → http://www.engine-driver.com/article/sh ... an-barnett
